The beginnings of the National Museum date back to 1874. It was then that King Rama V displayed exhibits from the royal collection in one of the pavilions of the Grand Palace and made it possible for visitors to see them.

You can get to the Museum in a quite interesting way. Right next to the Museum there is a canal on which the so-called water taxis travel. So you can take the Chao Phraya Express boat to the Phra Athit pier, which is already a nice attraction in itself.
Dotrzeć do Muzeum można w dość ciekawy sposób. Zaraz przy Muzeum znajduje się kanał, którym pływają tak zwane wodne taksówki. Można więc dopłynąć łodzią Chao Phraya Express na molo Phra Athit, co samo w sobie już jest fajną atrakcją.
What to see in the museum

As it is in a museum - it is not entertainment for everyone. Some people can walk on it for hours, others yawn and wait for the nightmare to end. I am somewhere in the middle, but I find this museum worth at least 2 hours of exploring.
