| The Royal Castle in Chęciny, probably at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. It was built on a hill that is 367 m above sea level. | The castle consists of two parts. The older one, i.e. the upper one, is located between two towers, the younger one with a large hatch gate and a four-sided tower which was built much later, in the 15th century. You entered the castle through a drawbridge protected by a metal gate. | Zamek składa się z dwóch części. | Over the years, the castle experienced a series of sieges. It suffered most during the Swedish Deluge. After the Third Partition of Poland, the castle fell into ruin.
