It's a beautiful and sunny day, it's Sunday. We decided to go somewhere in nature. Fruška Gora is close to us, but this time we decided to go a little further north. We often go to Fruška Gora, so we decided to change it up.We decided that it wouldn't be a long trip, so we decided to visit the Jegrička River near the town of Žabalj.
Just a small part from Wikipedia
,,Jegrichka is the largest river on the Bačka Southern Loess Terrace. Once the longest autochthonous river in Vojvodina, it has no classical source and is a system of connected ponds through which water flows to its confluence with the Tisa River. It is supplied with water from several depressions south of the town of Despotovo, where its natural beginning is located.,,
There is a lot of information on the internet that you can find about this saying and its uniqueness.
At the exit from Zabalj towards Čurug there is a small tavern, which has a fenced and arranged area. Primarily intended for passionate fishermen.
We stopped by to see it up close.
My wife and child didn't wait for me, while I was taking pictures they moved on.
It was nicely arranged with umbrellas and benches, but everything was already filled.
We walked there and decided to cross to the other side of the road. On the other side there is a beach that is currently out of season and empty. There is a children's playground right at the entrance,And of course my son had to try it.
I believe it's crowded here during the season because the beach is relatively small and Žabalj has about 8500 inhabitants.
And another thing that attracted my attention is the clear and clean water. Because it is difficult for our lowland rivers, because they are full of mud and sand. But it is calm here, the swimming season has not started, so you can even see the bottom.
Although it is full of birds, we were not lucky enough to find any near us.
Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.
