Hay..hay Hive Lover, in the previous post we have discussed a lot about very cool tourist objects in Karo Regency. However, during the Covid 19 Pandemic at the beginning of March 2020 that hit Indonesia, this also had an impact on the tourism industry in Indonesia, especially in Karo Regency with the largest contributor of revenue in terms of tourism in North Sumatra.
From the impact of Covid 19, many hotels have closed and many employees have been laid off because the hotel is losing money every month due to the lack of visitors. So that the hotels that still survive install very cheap rates below the standard, so that their hotels are still filled with tourists visiting the area, there are even some hotels that have crazy promos, namely staying 3 days, you only need to pay for 1 day.
This situation was exacerbated by the issuance of the Lockdown order by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Joko Widodo for some time, thus worsening the situation of tourism in North Sumatra, especially Karo Regency.
Like one of the hotels we visited in Paropo Village, the Redorz Hotel. Before the Pandemic period, this hotel was never deserted by tourists because of its very strategic location on the main road of Paropo Village, the hotel building is cool and classic and of course this hotel directly faces right under the hills and in front of the hotel there is a flowing river. directly empties into Lake Toba.
Due to this Pandemic period, there were only a few visitors there, this hotel looked very quiet, even though when we were at the hotel it was a Sunday which was a holiday. And this hotel also has a discount of more than 50%. The lonely list of visitors at this hotel can also be seen from the small cafe provided by the hotel for visitors to relax in this place or just smoke their cigarettes accompanied by a cup of tea or coffee, this place is almost without visitors there.
In this hotel, there are also many interesting photo spots that deserve to be captured. In addition to unique and instagramable photo spots, this hotel also has a large and well-maintained garden and many relaxing lodges here. In addition, this hotel also has a large parking area.
With the Premium Facilities provided, the strategic location of this hotel is priced starting from RP. 100,000 or the equivalent of $ 10 dollars up to Rp. 800,000 in the equivalent of $ 80 dollars.
The price of IDR 800,000 is the price of a hotel room for a family room that can be occupied for 5 to 8 people. For the normal price of this big hotel class, it is usually priced at Rp. 1500.000 up to Rp. 1,800,000. Meanwhile, for a single room that can only be occupied by two adults, the price for this room is Rp. 100,000 up to Rp. 250,000 depending on the view of the room we choose.
With soft mattresses, in-room bathrooms, and dispensers for each room. However, in this hotel there is no hot water regulator for bathing, so visitors who will take a shower in the morning, must be strong against the cold, because the weather in this place is very cold and tends to be windy of course.
Until here, we have reviewed our hotel, and there are still lots of hotels with cool views and very cheap prices during the pandemic, and of course they have met the health protocol standards that have been set by the government. So for those of you who visit this place, don't be afraid. Happy holidays and of course warm greetings from Tomi and Maya from Medan, Indonesia.
