There are still extraordinary tours in North Sumatra that will not be timeless. In this post, we will tell about the natural beauty of Bukit Simarjarunjung. The beautiful hill of Simarjarunjung is intentionally managed in a more modern way to increase the income of the surrounding community and attract more tourists, both local and inter-local.
Simarjarunjung is located on Jalan Simarjarunjung, Butu Bayu Pane Raja, Dolok Pardamean, Simalungun, North Sumatra. To be able to enjoy the natural beauty of this Simarjarunjung, we are charged a vehicle parking fee starting from Rp. 5000 to Rp. 20,000. and we are free to take pictures there facing the very exotic background of Lake Toba. However, if you want to take pictures in the spots provided by the manager, then you will be charged an additional fee of around Rp. 5000 per photo spot.
This Simarjarunjung Hill Nature Tourism is a hilly natural tourist attraction, with a backdrop of the Bukit Barisan Mountain Range. In Simarjarunjung we can see the beauty of Lake Toba from a distance. Although now the weather in Simarjarunjung is hot and not as cold as it used to be due to the many existing developments by the local community to earn income through rental services for photo spots.
When we are in this place, we are not satisfied if we do not capture our visit in the form of documentation. Because on this hill we can only take pictures without being able to enjoy anything else. As a place of tourism. Besides we can enjoy the scenery, we can also enjoy snacks and warm drinks in the canteen, or we can hunt for corn on the cob or roasted corn in the places of traveling vendors who deliberately park there.
On the hill of Indah Simarjarunjung, we can also find lodging facilities even though the price is expensive for me, which is around Rp. 500,000 per night for a standard hotel level, with only a bathroom provided in the room without bathup and without television.
If you are going to visit this place, you can take the Medan - Berastagi route - then continue on to the Parapat route or Samosir Island, then we will pass this Simarjarunjung with a travel time of about 3-4 hours depending on the condition of the freeway or traffic jams.
Not only on this Simarjarunjung hill, you can enjoy the natural beauty of Bukit Barisan and the outskirts of Lake Toba but along the way to the hill we can also find many photo spots that we can enjoy for free because they have not been managed by the surrounding community. Don't forget hats, umbrellas or sunglasses while you're here and of course sunblock and skincare so that your skin is not exposed to the sun directly. And don't forget to bring your own mineral water to avoid dehydration.
But when you go to this place if you want to bring souvenirs or gifts for friends or family then you will obviously be disappointed because in this place there are no souvenirs or knick-knacks that are typical of this Bukit Simajarunjung or better known by the abbreviation BIS. You can buy souvenirs when you go to Parapat or Samosir in the form of Sihobuk beans, or mango shrimp or other traditional Karo knick-knacks.
