We got it back!!!
The city of Vienna garnered the 1st place as the Most Liveable City in the world for 2022 followed by Copenhagen and Zürich. This is the 3rd time the city made it on top in the last 5 years. It is actually our 10th time. The only time Vienna did not make it to the top was during the corona pandemic (2020, 2021) when the whole city closed almost everything... restaurants, museums, public offices, schools and others. Opened during the pandemic with many restrictions are the hospitals, food suppliers such as supermarkets and groceries and pharmacies and public transports. According to the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU)the survey they conducted included 173 cities. The quality ranking includes healthcare, political stability, infrastructure among others. Vienna is a green and clean city.
Now that the corona virus is easing in the city, restrictions such as wearing masks are now lifted, everyone can roam freely without it in public areas except at hospitals, public transports and pharmacies. As Vienna has good infrastructure, all destinations can be reached with a superb public transport system. It also has a very good health system that ranks among the best in the world. There are plenty of cultural and leisure activities as well as the crime rate is very low compared to other cities.

As far as the health insurance is concerned, once a person is registered for a work, he/she is covered by the insurance automatically as well as his whole family. Children get subsidy from the government through the so called Familien Beihilfe,an allowance for every child to cover daily life expenses until 21 which is curtailed when they start a job. The older students get this allowance through application until the latest age of 24. If you wish to know more of the services offered by the city, you can read more here
