Doors
While walking on a city street, many things can catch your attention. When you see the thing that catches your attention in the same area many times, it starts to look interesting and beautiful to you. The gates of the city of Kars aroused the same thought in me. This city, which has Russian, Ottoman and many other civilizations, is trying to tell you a lot with its doors. Wood carving, use of plaster and careful use of glass. There are many subtleties in these doors that even I am not aware of. In the past, the doors of a station, a house, an official office were either used for the same purpose or modernized, or they continued to be the doors of another building.
I think that the doors always give an idea about the situation and situation inside. Because one of the places where we have the first impression about a building or a house is the door. How does the color make you feel, how much manual labor and care there is. When people start to think about it, they cannot get out of the variables. I think I can make a distinction, I can say that there is much more care and order in the works made in the past than today. They made naive doors to naive works. I think that the people who built these structures in the past had a high aesthetic concern. This is reflected as a visual feast today. As we can understand from here, I think that if we do it both correctly and with an aesthetic concern in our work, it makes that work more aging. Even the gates of this city are elaborated. Kapılar
Bir şehirin sokağında yürürken bir çok şey dikkatinizi çekebilir. Dikkatinizi çeken şeyi bir çok kere aynı bölgede gördüğünüzde size ilginç ve güzel görünmeye başlar. Kars şehrinin kapılarıda bende aynen bu düşünceyi uyandırdı. Rus, Osmanlı ve daha bir çok medeniyetten yapıya sahip bu şehir size kapıları ile bir çok şey anlatmaya çalışıyor. Tahta oymacılığı, alçı kullanımı ve camların itina ile kullanılması. Benim bile farkına varamadığım bir çok incelik var bu kapılarda. Eskiden bir garın, evin, resmi bir dairenin kapıları şimdi ya aynı amaçla ya da modernize olarak kullanılmaya başlanmış ya da başka bir binanın kapısı olmaya devam etmişler.
Kapıların her zaman içeride ki durum ve vaziyet hakkında fikir verdiğini düşünürüm. Çünkü bir bina ya da bir ev hakkında ilk izlenime sahip olduğumuz yerlerden birisi de kapıdır. Rengi insana ne hissettiriyor ne kadar el emeği ve özen var. İnsan üzerinde düşünmeye başlayınca değişkenlerin arasından çıkamıyor. Şöyle bir ayrım yapabileceğimi düşünüyorum geçmişte yapılan eserlerde günümüze göre çok daha fazla bir özen ve nizam olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Naif eserlere naif kapılar yapmışlar. Geçmişteki bu yapıları yapan insanların yüksek bir estetik kaygı içerisinde olduklarını düşünüyorum. Bu da günümüze görsel bir şölen olarak yansımış. Buradan da anlayacağımız üzere yaptığımız işlerde hem doğru hemde estetik bir kaygı güderek yaparsak o işin daha yıllanmasını sağladığını düşünüyorum. Bu şehrin kapıları bile özenilmiş. Belkide güzellikler ayrıntılarda gizlidir. Bir şehri en ince ayrıntısı ile incelemeli ve belkide kıyıda köşede kalmış güzellikleri fark etmeliyiz. Bu kapılar gibi...
