Hot asphalt

Melting under my feet
this city, with its contrasting shadows
with small pieces of history that remained untouched

as if I could make a step of trenta into the past

for one afternoon
there, into the moment when I met her spirit for the first time.

This city
always so vibrant

now I don't recognize the details that changed.

They are not part of me,
of our shared past.
Simply, I won't pay attention to them.

Oh, Jeff...
But I love Novi Sad...

and its peaceful interior

and all the little churches
of Novi sad

I could love the novelties too
and all those parts that didn't even exist
back in time...

but yesterday
I chose not to pay attention to them.
