My parents are one of the devotees of Saint Anthony de Padua.I remembered when I was a kid ,my parents visit the church in the next Barangay where the Saint Anthony de Padua was located.
Every 13th day of the month is the day of visiting the Saint Statue.A lot of people were visiting the church ,they are came from the far places and visits the Saint with the beliefs of miracles. Some are experiences the miracle did of the said Saint .
The Diocesan Shrine of Saint Anthony de Padua is located at Barangay Pomponan Baybay City Leyte Philippines.
I personally experienced it also when I was in highschool .The place where they saint was located was experiencing a flood and the school head announced that the classes were suspended .Since the church located along the road going to our school ,I saw the flood inside the church but it can reached the altar where the statue was located and then together with my classmates heard that the dress of the Saint Anthony de Padua was wet .And the people are wondering where the water come from.
Only his dress was wet and floor where he was place did'nt wet.Its not the first time that it was happened .There was a time that the place was having a landslide and thanks to God ,the landslide did'nt reached the houses. And the residence believes that Saint Anthony helps to stop the landslide as the church server was notice that the dress of the Saint get wet and there are some mud in his feet.
As a Catholic we are believing the miracles but it does'nt mean that we worshiping goddess .Our God is only one ,but we do believe the saints.
And since I and my kids having a vacation at my parents ,I did'nt forget to visit the Saint Anthony de Padua Shrine. It's been a year that I did'nt visit it .Since I had an opportunity to visit it ,I give time for it.
A huge improvement they did for the church. From a very simple church ,they make it an more beautiful.
Anyway ,I got married my husband in this church last August 2019 and we're celebrating our 4 anniversary next week.
Heres some photos I take.
And that's it for today ,thanks for reading and have a great day!
