Bienvenidos A Zamboanga! (Welcome to Zamboanga!) This is the greetings that you will see at the International Airport of Zamboanga City. One of the most unique airports I've seen in the Philippines because of the architectural design. In the airport, you will see colorful vintas in which Zamboanga City is known of.
Zamboanga City is known to rich in culture, history, and resources. In the opening remarks of our program the speaker shared that Zamboanga City is the Little Mexico of the Philippines and people here are speaking Chavacano. True enough, in the airport, you will see signage in Spanish and most of the street names and stores here are also in Spanish.
I'm here in Zamboanga for work-related tasks but why not combine it with leisure? Right? So, I would love to see more of the wonderful places in here. One of the things that I like about my job is being able to travel to different places.
I want to see more of Zamboanga City in the next few days and will surely share it here with you. For now, let me give you a glimpse of one of the big hotels here in Zamboanga, the Garden Orchid Hotel.
Garden Orchid Hotel is just near the airport, 3-5 minute ride with a taxi. This is the venue of our seminar and I was able to capture some views that I like.
Here is the building with the infinity pool. Makes me think of swimming!
A beautiful landscape! This is fronting the pool and I like how the stones, plants and jars are combined together.
Exhibits of old pictures that has been preserved through time. This is what I like most in the hotel, it tells of history of the past!
Here are some decorations.
Before I end up, let me share to you a photo I captured up above before our landing.
It was a smooth sailing travel from Davao to Zamboanga! To more stories to tell and more pictures to capture in the next few days of my stay here in Ciudad de Zamboanga.
Disfrutar!
