DAVAO, PHILIPPINES
My WanDAVAOful experience. My curious heart is jumping of joy knowing I will be going to DAVAO. It was my first time to visit this beautiful place! I've heard it from my friends who went there that Davao is a veri disciplined place. Curfew at twelve midnight, smoking in a designated smoking place and all the trash should be in a trash bin. I went there not for a vacation but to attend the wedding of my cousin Alyannah. It was a short stay yet we made it very fun and memorable.
These are the photos taken at the airport. Mandatory airport picture with my OOTD, of course! The only local flight I've had in 2019 since later that year I was preoccupied with work and my cart business. I flew together with my cousins and this is the first time I travelled with them. Before we reached Davao, we had plans as to where to eat and unwind. We also planned to eat durian and other delicacies. When we arrived in Davao, we then headed to SM to buy groceries for our 3-day stay. By the way we stayed in a 3-story house that my cousin booked via Airbnb. After our groceries and shopping in SM, we immediately went home and relaxed. On our second day in Davao we prepared ourselves for the wedding day of my cousin. It was a chapel wedding in a mountain. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture it since they had an official photographer.
The reception was held in Eden Park, one of the Tourist spots in Davao. It was indeed a beautiful park. It is relaxing and has a refreshing view. It's cold during night time. Before the event started I sneaked out to the garden. I have to ride a buggy car since it is too far from the venue. When I arrived, I did not regret it because it is so beautiful. My cousin told me that this park was the most visited park in Davao because it has Safari before. Now , they transferred the animals and placed it in different place. The event was successful, food was great and we ended the night with bottle of wine. We didn't have much wine since the following day we have to go to the Famous Samal Island. It was a 45-minute travel from the city to the island. When we arrived in Samal, we checked-in to Villa Amparo Resort. Infinity Pool was one of the highlights of the resort. The beach there is not nice since it is not white fine sands.
I enjoyed my time in Crocodile Park because I got to see big crocodiles, ostriches, lions, tigers and a million koi fishes. The park was so big and I have met many different animals there. We ate crocodile meat and ice cream there-- it was a one-of-a-kind experience!
We went to Samal Island on our second day. I was kinda scared going there because their boat was a bit weird since it was so open unlike the boats here in Cebu. But the fear and the risk were worth it because it was breathtaking there! I was captivated by its beauty!
Before heading to the airport to go home, we quickly stopped by my favorite coffee place-- Starbucks! I needed coffee in my veins to function haha. Overall, I will certainly go back to Davao because my stay therese was so short! I have yet to go back!
