Hello friends of . I hope you are conquering the adventure called life.
One of the most unforgettable experiences I have ever had was paragliding.
Paragliding has been the closest thing to freedom in infinite space that I have ever experienced.
My friend and I had said that we would go for a walk in town when we were done, but we really didn't need to. The emotion that I experienced made me continue to decant it, in silence and tranquility. We returned home. I kept telling her the details of the flight.
Thank you for joining me in this adventure by reading my post.
What was unforgettable? The peace and tranquility that invaded me while I was among the clouds. Everything up there was calm, even my state of mind. The feeling of gratitude and awe for the beauty and immensity that surrounded me was unforgettable.
In Venezuela you can paraglide in different places. I know people who have done it from La Guaira and see the sea, others from Merida in those cold and majestic mountains. I did it from the state of Miranda.
I did it in my country Venezuela, in a town called El Jarillo. This town is located approximately 2 hours from the capital and and very close to another very well known town: La Colonia Tovar.
Going to Jarillo is for me a symbol of spending a weekend in complete relaxation.
the Jarillo mountain is 2000 meters high. The walk takes about 15 minutes. I think it is too short for people to take the plunge.
The last time I went there I decided to go paragliding.
I have a great friend who always says yes to all my invitations for adventures, let's go! Her name is Ingrid.
Regarding clothing, i took advice beforehand and wore a sweater, I didn't have the special jackets to cut the wind, but the sweater I wore was enough, I wore comfortable shoes.
The girl in this picture is 7 years old and has already paraglided 9 times, her parents are paragliding instructors.
That day I had a mixture of emotions, I was excited and happy to dare to try this new adventure, however I was afraid, afraid to fly or to fall?
I asked my friend to stop the car, I got out and walked away to be alone for a few moments, so I could meditate and I realized that I was afraid of falling, of having an accident.
My fatalistic thoughts disappeared with the order I gave them, I told my body let's have a good time! why go ahead and think the worst?
This is me!
The hardest part? for me was the start! because of my nerves, without realizing it, I braked and I had to turn back and start again!
It happened to me a couple of times, suddenly I did well, plus the instructor was with me, he helped me to propel me and finally I did well, I lifted my feet not to slow down and the breeze managed to lift me up.
This photo was taken by my friend Ingrid, she preferred that day to be my accomplice only in the role of photographer.
This mountain looks strong, imposing, I could see it from above, it has the energy of a mother, of a serene woman, it is beautiful.
The experience of paragliding is delicious, it is challenging. Walking near the electricity cables, looking at the tiny houses, receiving the cool breeze on my face and listening to the silence, experiences that remained engraved in my mind.
The flight only lasted 15 minutes, however the wind was not in favor of landing and the instructor decided to continue flying for about 20 minutes more, hoping that the wind would let us land without causing an accident. Believe me, I valued that extra time very much, I contemplated, meditated, recharged batteries.
This beautiful and iconic photo was included in the package.
I would ride again? yes! as long as it is a tandem flight, that is to say, with a trainer or guide accompanying me.
Copied succesfully!
