Hello to everyone who loves to travel and explore the world like me. One of the most interesting and healthy ways for me to spend time was to explore the region where I live. And this is a city in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland. Limanowa is a city with legends and a huge history, in which I am just beginning my journey. This city is located in a valley of mountains. There are different levels of the mountain around the city. This stretches the ridge of the Beskids mountains.
In the city itself you can see the cross on Mount May. It can be seen from in the city and even outside the city. At night, the cross is illuminated and becomes a sacred symbol of the city of Limanowa.
This cross was erected on this mountain in honor of the 2000th anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ. This is an extremely important date for all of Christianity.
Привіт усім, хто любить подорожувати і пізнавати світ як я. Одним з найцікавіших і здорових способів проведення часу для мене стало вивчати край, де я мешкаю. І це місто в Mалопольському воєводстві в Польщі. Ліманова місто з легендами і величезною історією, в яку я тільки розпочинаю свою подорож. Це місто розташоване в долині гір. Навколо міста є різного рівня гори. Це тягнеться хребет Бескидів Виспови.
В самому місті видніється хрест на Мейській горі. Його видно з будь якого куточка міста і навіть за містом. Вночі хрест освічується і стає сакральним символом міста Ліманова.
Цей хрест було встановлено на цю гору в честь 2000 років народження Ісуса Христа. Це надзвичайно важлива дата для усього християнства.
My mother and I had a great desire to climb to the top of this mountain and finally see the cross up close, and to the city of Limanowa from the mountain. One sunny day we drove as close to the mountain as possible. We were greeted by a signpost with the direction and time we will spend on the way up. One road seemed too steep to my mother, and the other road went at a moderate rate of ascent. And we went with her.
I want to write at once that we then made a mistake in choosing the road. Because the road, which was to rise slowly, suddenly led us almost vertically. I was sometimes afraid that we would deviate from that path. It was dangerous because we had nothing to hold on to. And we could only rely entirely on our own strength. We had to go back to the sign that showed two roads and go the other way.
From this I conclude that in our lives there is also a choice of easy and difficult solutions. And at first glance, the choice of easy way is not always correct. It relaxes and reduces our focus on managing the situation as a whole. And the complexity of the solution gives us experience and activates human resources.
У мене і моєї мами було велике бажання вийти на верхівку цієї гори і побачити нарешті хрест зблизька, і на місто Ліманова з гори. В один з сонячних днів ми поїхали автомобілем чим ближче до гори. Нас зустрів покажчик з напрямком і часом, який ми потратимо на дорогу вгору. Одна дорога здавалася надто стрімкою моїй мамі, а інша дорога йшла з помірною швидкістю піднімання догори. І ми пішли нею.
Хочу одразу написати, що ми тоді помилилися у виборі дороги. Тому що та дорога, яка поволі мала піднімати, раптом повела нас майже по вертикалі. Я іноді боялася, що ми зірвемося з тієї стежки. Небезпечно було, тому що нам не було за що триматися. І ми могли лише покластися повністю на свої сили. Ми змушену були повернутися назад до знаку, який показував дві дороги і піти іншою дорогою.
З цього роблю висновок, що в нашому житті буває також вибір легкого і складного рішення . І на перший погляд вибір легшого не завжди є правильним. Воно рослабляє, і зменшує нашу увагу над керуванням ситуації в цілому. А складність рішення дає нам отримання досвіду і активує людські ресурси.
Maxim had a lot of strength and inspiration for the day. And he wanted to eat and I was not ready for that. I only had water for us. I was sure he had eaten in kindergarten. And Maxim went faster than us, so that we could all return home for dinner.
Making a mistake in choosing the road, we were able to meet the mountain nature. I was able to see the flora of this Wei Mountain. Although we walked towards Bald Mountain and could get lost in the woods. There are painted signs on the trees and routes are marked on the map. In this area there are special routes for Nordic walking, extreme tourist routes. My mother relied on age-old oaks because it was difficult for her to go up. She had a lot to do in the morning and was already pretty exhausted. And Maxim and I had more strength and inspiration.
Violets have long since blossomed in the city, and here they still bloom. Various medicinal herbs that I know from childhood.
In one place I managed to see a rock. Its structure was made of such stone bricks. And these stone bricks fell to the ground. I have never seen such a thing before. It is as if these growths were postponed for certain periods. Apparently before our era in the valleys of these areas was the sea. I remember reading about the Taurian Sea when I wrote about my village. History does not give us accurate data on this. So this is my guess.
В Максима в цей день було багато сил і наснаги для подожі. А ще йому захотілося їсти і я до цього не була готова. Я мала лише воду для нас. Я була впевнена, що він наївся в дитячому садку. І Максим йшов швидше за нас, щоб швидше повернутися додому на вечерю.
Помиляючись дорогою, ми змогли зустрітися з гурською природою. Я змогла побачити флору цієї Вейської гори. Хоча ми йшли в сторону Лисої гори і могли заблукати в лісі. На деревах є намальовані знаки і на карті відзначено маршрути. В цій місцевості є спеціальні маршрути для скандинавської ходьби, екстремальні туристичні маршрути. Мама спиралася на вікові дуби, тому що їй було важко йти догори. Вона зранку мала багато справ і вже була добряче вимучена. А я з Максимом мали більше сил і наснаги.
В місті вже давно відцвіли фіалки, а тут все ще вони цвітуть. Різні лікарські трави, які я знаю з дитинства.
В одному місці мені вдалося побачити скалу. Її структура була з таких кам'яних цеглин. І ці кам'яні цеглини розсипалися на землю. Я такого ще не бачила раніше. Наче ці нарости відкладалися певними періодами. Мабуть до нашої ери в долинах цих місцевостей було море. Я згадую, що читала про Таврійське море, коли писала про своє село. Історія не дає нам точних даних про це. Тому це моє припущення.
When we were able to get back on track, it didn't seem as difficult as it used to be. We went up and saw the first station of the Way of the Cross. There are 15 stations in total. There is a rest bench near each stop. This is a wide and not fast road. It was equipped for walking by both large groups of people and small ones. It was not at all difficult for me to go all the way.
Maxim was looking for a stick, with a stick he helps to overcome the path as the third leg, on which some part of the weight is placed. And more power is stored. He read numbers and events at the Stations of the Cross. He also decided that a cross could easily be made from two sticks. So the cross is the simplest sign. A cross comes out of only two sticks, and how many of us can see deep meaning at the same time. And it is not for nothing that literate people put a cross. The cross in the days of Christianity became more than just a sign. People were tortured on it and it was the worst punishment in the time of Jesus the Cross. To be baptized means to follow Christian rites and to bear the sign of the cross. And on this day we walk on the Way of the Cross over the city 785 meters above sea level to see the Cross 37 meters high.
I can't even imagine how this size of openwork construction was taken to the top of the mountain. Its weight is 321 tons!
Коли ми змогли повернутися на правильну дорогу, вона нам вже не здавалася такою складною, як раніше. Ми йшли догори і побачили першу станцію Хресної дороги. Всього станцій їх є 15. Біля кожної зупинки є лавка для відпочинку. Це широка і не стрімка дорога. Вона була обладнана для ходьби як великими групами людей, так і малими. Для мене було зовсім не важко пройти весь шлях.
Максим шукав собі палки, з палка слугує допомогою в подоланні шляху як третя нога, на яку покладено якусь частину ваги. І сили зберігається більше. Він читав на станціях Хресної дороги номери і події. А ще він вирішив, що з двох палок легко можна зробити хрест. Так хрестик це найпростіший знах. Всього з двох палочок виходить хрест, а скільки ми можемо водночас побачити глибокого змісту. І не дарма не писемні люди ставили хрестик. Хрест в часи християнства став більше ніж просто знак. На ньому катували людей і це була не найстрашніша кара в часи Ісуса Хреста. Хреститися означає притримуватися християнським обрядам і покладати на себе знак хреста. І в цей день ми прямуємо по хресній дорозі над містом висотою 785 метрів над рівнем моря, щоб побачити Хрест висотою 37 метрів.
Я собі навіть уявити не можу яким чином вивезли цю величину ажурну конструкцію на вершину гори. Його вага 321 тонна!
I would also like to say that in 1999, Pope John Paul II was in Limanova, on the way to the New Sounch. Then he gave the Church in Limanova the title of Basilica. And he blessed this cross and the city as a whole.
"Take up the Cross in the new millennium" are the words of John Paul II incarnate in this sacred building on Mount May. These words inspired the creation and construction of this majestic building. The papal coat of arms is also depicted at the foot of the cross.
In Poland, the personality of Pope Pole is treated with respect, in every place there is a street named after him and a monument to his beloved Pope. In every house there is an image of Pope John Paul 2. And this is a true expression of love for a man who once lived on earth and was called a saint after his death. His natural ability to find balance in all matters amazes me. It is not for nothing that his life was attempted. He followed the laws of God and stayed away from politics. He also often mentioned Ukraine. And I remember how happy I was when I saw him in an armored car in Lviv.
Я ще хочу розповісти, що в Лімановій проїздом до Нового Сонча був в 1999 році Папа римський Іван Павло 2. Тоді він надав Костелові в місті Ліманова звання Базиліка. І благословив цей хрест і місто в цілому.
"Візьміть Хрест у нове тисячоліття"- це слова Івана Павла 2 втіленні в цю сакральну споруду на горі Мейській. Саме ці слова надихнули на створення і будівництво цієї величної споруди. Також в підніжжі хреста зображено папський герб.
В польщі розважливо ставляться до особистості Папи Поляка, в кожному місці є вулиця названа на його іменем і пам'ятник улюбленому Папі. В кожному домі є зображення Папи Івана Павла 2. І це є справжнім виявом любові до чоловіка, який колись жив на землі і був названим святим після смерті. Його природні здібності знаходити у всіх питаннях рівновагу мене вражають. Не дарма на його життя були здійснені замахи. Він притримувався законам Божим і тримався осторонь політики. Він також часто згадував про Україну. І я пам'ятаю як тішилася, коли побачила його в папамобілі у Львові.
Finally, the road showed the way out of the shadows of the forest. At the end of the road the sun formed a bright ray to the exit. We did not have the opportunity to make mistakes and we went forward to this radiance.
The whole way to the mountain took us about 40 minutes of moderate walking. I often walked in front, and my mother and son behind. But in the mountain we joined forces and headed to our current goal, to get to the Liman Cross on May Mountain.
Нарешті дорога показувала вихід з тіні лісу. В кінці дороги сонце утворило яскравий промінь до виходу. В нам не було можливості помилитися і ми пішли вперед на це сяйво.
Весь шлях до гори зайняв в нас близько 40 хвилин помірної ходьби. Я часто йшла по переду, а мої мама і син позаду. Але в горі ми з'єдналися і попрямували до нашої сьогоднішньої цілі, потрапити на Лімановський хрест на Мейській горі.
From the observation deck you can admire the panorama that unfolded to us. I saw the city in the valley, its houses and the Basilica, where I have an apartment in this city. And we have picturesque views of the mountains that surround the city and surrounding villages. This is the ridge of the Beskids of the Islands, the Beskids of Sondecki, Gorce, and from this point you can see the Tatra Mountains.
A chapel was built under the cross. It was closed the moment we climbed the mountain. Religious rites are held here. I looked in the middle and saw the figure of Mary and the book of the Gospels. On the wall of the chapel you can touch the stone from Golgotha. And of course express your silent prayer for the most important thing. For me, this is Peace in Ukraine!
З оглядового майданчика можна помилуватися панорамою, яка розгорнулася нам. Я побачила в долині місто, його будиночки і Базиліку, де якраз маю помешкання в цьому місті. А ще нам відкрилися мальовничі ми краєвиди на гори, які оточують місто і навколишні села. Це хребет Бескидів Виспових, Бескидів Сондецьких, Горце, а ще з цієї не точки можна побачити гори Татри.
Під хрестом споруджено капличку. Вона була зачинена на той момент, коли ми вийшли на гору. Тут проводяться релігійні обряди. Я заглянула в середину і побачила фігуру Марії і книгу Євангеліє. На стіні каплички можна доторкнутися до каменю з Голгофи. І звичайно висловити свою тиху молитву про найважливіше. Для мене це Мир в Україні!
I would like to remind you once again that the Cross can be seen from all corners of the city of Limanowa. During the day it is illuminated by the sun, and at night by floodlights. The built-in clock reflects time. And we were lucky to hear a song that sounds from this place. The recording contains Mari songs that echo through the Limanowa land.
It is also important that the construction and installation of this cross united the community of the city. Many people were involved to make a truly grand project. A public committee for the construction of the Cross was established. All the people united for a noble cause. These are architects, builders, steelmakers and philanthropists who donated large sums of money. In unity is our strength! The official site of the city of Limanowa writes.
Хочу ще раз нагадати, що Хрест видно з усіх куточків міста Ліманова. Вдень він осяяний сонцем, а в ночі підсвіткою прожекторів. Вбудований в структуру годинник відбиває час. І нам пощастило почути пісню, яка звучить з цього місця. В записі є марійські пісні, які відлунююють Лімановською землею.
Також важливо, що виготовлення і встановлення цього хреста об'єднала громаду міста. Багато людей було задіяно, щоб зробити дійсно грандіозний проект. Було створено громадський комітет будівництва Хреста. Усі люди об'єдналися за для благородної справи. Це і Архітектори, будівельники, сталевари і благодійники, які жертвували великі кошти. Anyone can get to this mountain at will. This is the highest point in the city. All residents will benefit from this mountain at least once. Children from schools and kindergartens in the summer must make trips to the Cross. Christians walk the Way of the Cross for prayer. Everyone who comes to Limanova at least once also wants to see this city from a bird's eye view.
The freshest air and freedom can be felt in this place. Children run on the bright green grass and when they get tired they lie down and swing on the same grass or lie on a bench. Here is such a free walk. My Maxim reminded me that he was hungry. And I had only water. I was also surprised that there are toilets on the mountain, that even here people have to improve basic hygiene.
Кожен охочий може потрапити на цю гору за бажанням. Це найвища точка в місті. Всі мешканці хоча б раз вигодять на цю гору. Діти з шкіл і садків літом обов'язково роблять походи до Хреста. Християни проходять по хресній дорозі для молитви. Кожен, хто хоч раз приїзджає в Ліманову, то також бажає оглянути це місто з висоти пташиного польоту.
В цьому місці відчувається найсвіжіше повітря і воля. Діти бігають по яскраво зеленій траві і коли змучаться то лягають і качаються по тій же траві, чи лежать на лавці. Ось такий вільний вигул. Мій Максим мені нагадував, що є голодний. А я мала лише воду. Також мене здивувало, що на горі є туалети, що люди навіть тут мають добримуватися елементарної гігієни.
On the mountain we were happy that we managed to get despite our adventures. My mother was especially happy. I wrote that she was already tired and often had to rest on a bench near the Stations of the Cross. But still she managed to get another breath and go up, which is why she was very happy.
Admiring the surrounding villages and mountains and resting on a bench, we headed for the car parked in the parking lot at the foot of the mountain. Maybe you can drive up a mountain with some stronger car. Because I saw houses and farms, the men harvested firewood with the help of a tractor, and the road allows us to travel this way. But I did not risk the car and we all wanted to try our hand.
There are several roads to the Cross. I knew two of them because my co-workers told me about them. One, on which we climbed, calmly and slowly rises up, on it the Way of the Cross is built. Another
the road, as I was told fast, it is good to go down, because the time of descent from 10-15 minutes. This road is heading downhill. Sometimes you have to stop yourself because you want to run, but the stones on the road can hurt you badly. I don't know about other roads, but I think they exist for the locals. People live on the mountain itself and it is possible to rent housing so that they can live in ecological conditions every day. You will be provided with a home, food and a warm welcome. Residents of May Mountain are happy to welcome guests.
На горі ми тішилися, що нам вдалося потрапити попри наші пригоди. Особливо тішилася моя мама. Я писала, що вона вже була втомленою і часто змушуга була відпочивати на лавці біля станції хрестової дороги. Але все таки їй вдалося отримати ще одне дихання і вийти вгору, чому вона дуже раділа.
Налюбовавшись навколишніми селами і горами і відпочивши на лавці ми попрямували дорогою до автомобіля, припаркованого на стоянці в підніжжі гори. Можливо якимось міцнішим автомобілем можна заїхати на гору. Тому що я бачила будинки і господарства, чоловіки заготовляли дрова за допомогою трактора, і дорога дозволяє проїхати цей шлях. Але я не стала ризикувати автомобілем і ми всі хотіли випробувати свої сили.
До Хреста існує кілька доріг. Дві з них були мені відомі, тому що мені про них розповіли мої співробітниці. Одна- по якій ми підіймалися, спокійна і помаленьку підіймає вгору, на ній споруджена Хресна дорога. Інша
дорога, як мені сказали швидка, по ній добре спускатися, тому що час спуску від 10-15 хв. Ця дорога прямує стрімко вниз. Іноді потрібно себе зупиняти, бо хочеться бігти, але каміння на дорозі сильно може поранити. Про інші дороги мені не відомо, але я думаю вони існують для тутешніх мешканців. На самій горі живуть люди і є можливість винайняти житло, щоб щодня простягалися в екологічних умовах. Вам нададуть тут дім, їжу і теплий прийом. Мешканці Мейської гори радо зустрічають гостей.
Descending from the mountain, we walked another 300 meters down the street to our car. I was able to see what kind of people have farms and beautiful houses. People have hives and cows, plant potatoes on clay soil and grow vegetables and greens. These are hardworking and kind people. Thank you Poland for the opportunity to live and see this beauty. Спустившись з гори, ми ще 300 метрів йшли по вулиці до нашого автомобіля. Я змогла побачити, які люди мають господарства і красиві будинки. Люди мають вулики і корови, садять картоплю на глиняній землі і вирощують овочі і зелень. Це працьовитий і добрий народ. Дякую Польщі за можливість жити і бачити цю красу. Дякую моїм друзям і співробітникам в Польщі!
