Not by myself - but maybe crazier... I lived on a 14-meter catamaran sailboat with 4 strangers! We sailed from Philippines, through Borneo, down through Indonesia. Imagine how it went informing my parents. I have lots of crazy stories from that journey!
The boat was going around the world and every few months they took on a crew of 3 young people who didn't know how to sail, didn't know each other, and give them a different life experience. We also tried to help the local communities we visited or environmental initiatives along our route, either by doing medical work or by volunteering or raising awareness through our social media. The whole idea was to leave a positive ripple of change in our wake.
The project itself was called Sailing Ripple Effect. It was a bit of a social experiment, but for sure one of the most amazing and adventurous voyages I've embarked on.
