Located inside the Boondall Wetland Reserve and between Moreton Bay and Nudgee Creek. Is a very nice 1.5km Mangrove tidal mud flat board walk. There are quite a few of these type's of places around Brisbane as a there is a couple of major islands off shore creating these projected water ways from the open ocean.
Tabbil-ban dhagun is the Aboriginal name meaning "place of salt water"
It would be interesting to revisit this location at high tide as well, we could still see water draining out into the bay.
Nudgee Creek
All the tree root systems exposed.
One of the local crabs.
The boardwalk twisted and turn all over the place which was great for some nice views and photos.
It was hot and very humid, lucky it was only a short walk and not a long hike.
The thing I like the most about this area is even though it is so close to the city, there not not a lots of weeds that seem to now dominated a lot of the other creeks and water way around Brisbane.
We could have walked on the mud flats for miles, next time we shall alllow more time and explore some more.
The Shorncliffe Shoreline on the Horizon and the some water birds, who seemed to be enjoying the shallow waters.
Lunch was at the nearby Direct Factory Outlet Shopping centre.
There are lots more walking tracks to checked out inside the Boondall wetland reserves, I hope you enjoyed this Tabbil-ban dhagune.
