In early 2021, I visited a place in Belitung. This agenda is a meeting at the beginning of the year and a bonus for the hard work of all staff during the year working. This visit was very memorable. This program will be held every year. As an evaluation and improve relations between staff in my workplace. We have a small team, there are 12 people working in my workplace.
After we did various evaluations, we visited the "Andrea Hirata Museum". Andrea Hirata is a very famous writer. The book "Pelangi Laskar" brought his name to be known in Indonesia and other countries. Maybe for local visitors, this museum is free of charge. In lieu of free money tickets, We bought a pocket book containing summaries of Andrea Hirata's books.
This museum was only opened in 2010 with the aim of inspiring young people in Indonesia. Especially to realize a bold dream. When I entered this museum, I felt that there were many dreams from Andrea Hirata in every room. Suddenly, I wanted to fulfill my dream of becoming a novelist. and study in Europe. May that dream come true.
The museum is open at 10.00 - 17.30 WIB. Well, in this place there is Andrea Hirata besides the owner, he also acts as a curator. There are many walls that are painted in different colors. It reminded me of the book "Laskar Pelangi". In this museum there are more than 200 literatures. My favorite place is the library. There are books on display. Anyone can read it. I remember it was my favorite room. I love discovering heaven.
Most importantly, Andrea Hirata provided information about the geography of Belitung. Starting from rocks, pictures, maps, and more. Likewise Belitung's words. In Indonesia, each province has a unique language used. In some of the information I read, there are some typical Belitung words that are almost extinct. Andrea Hirata put words in this museum.
Inside this museum there are many photos of the "Laskar Pelangi" scene. There are several rooms taken from the character of this film. For example, latitude, curl and dowry. In the "Mahar" room, there are photos and words from the film "Laskar Pelangi". Likewise with the "Circles and Dowry" room. For the Mahar room, I think this is the most unique room. In the novel "Pelangi Laskar", Mahar is a child who loves art. Mahar learned the art of drawing and singing. There are many unique expensive pictures in the room.
There are very inspiring words in this room. I must admit that this room opened my mind to be more creative. In addition, there are many antiques stored in this museum. I really like this museum. Full of color, take me to chase my dreams.
Through this film, Andrea Hirata brought a huge impact to an island called "Belitung". Belitung began to be known by many people. Not only in Indonesia, but known in various countries. In this film, there is an interesting place. This makes many people want to visit Belitung.
The film tells a grim story about education in Indonesia. That's the truth. Back to this museum, this museum is located quite far from the center of Belitung city. Located in East Belitung. My lodging is very far from this place, the distance to this museum is almost an hour and a half.
In addition to the "Lintang" room, there is the "Ikal" room which contains pictures and photos that express Ikal's mood. The photo was taken from the film "Laskar Pelangi". Likewise with the "Lintang" room which has an onthel bicycle that is used to go to school. In my room I saw a dream of a latitude to go to school and achieve his dream. I want to study in Europe.
There are many dramatic photos displayed in the museum. Andrea Hirata knows how to express dreams and pass them on to the younger generation. There is an open space, I think it is a space for expression and studying literature. There are doors and windows as symbols of infinite space science.
In addition to feeling a dream that must be realized, the bright and exciting atmosphere in this museum is a beautiful photo spot for visitors. I think the strength of this museum comes from the words displayed in each room. There are words in movies or novels that are written in several rooms. While the colors and photos to support this place to make visitors become very imaginative.
Oh yes, this place also provides a kitchen to relax. There is coffee and snacks. Good coffee and snacks are perfect for relaxing while looking around the various corners of the museum. I want to visit this place again, with my sister and my mother. I want them to also feel the beauty of a dream come true.
