Hello. How are you? I hope you're okay. Last week, I and the Jakarta Good Guide went on a walking tour of Pinangsia Street West Jakarta, Indonesia. This street is quite popular in Jakarta, Indonesia. The word "Pinangsia" originally came from the word "Financienstraat" in 1890. However, the word is difficult to pronounce.
Along with the passage of time. Locals refer to it as the "Pinangsia". Pinangsia street was built by the Dutch in 1627 during the Indonesian colonial period. Before using the name financienstraat”, this pink area had the name “koestraat.” In fact, the area is right inside the north entrance of the city station. There is some history in the Pinangsia area. there are
Just behind the north entrance of the city station, there is the first brothel in Jakarta. The area called Macau Po with 'whore' comes from China and Portugal. After Macau Po emerged, there was another 'prostitution' area for various levels of society. For example, the mango alley brothel is only for the lower middle class. But, for a brothel in Macau Po, it's only middle-upper economy. With prostitutes in Macau Po, they always check for her illness.
near the bridge, there is a very famous Chinese winery. However, the plant was short-lived. This factory was founded in 1611 under the name goan soan. Wine exported 5.3 million bottles at the rate of exports from Germany, England and Sweden. The gin mill lasted until 1800 because it couldn't pay taxes. Because the Dutch raised the alcohol tax which was quite high.
not far from there, there is a junior high school 22 Jakarta. This building started as a Kuomintang school designed for the Chinese ethnicity in Indonesia. However, information about the school is not very much. It's just that on the front it says 1910 which indicates that 1910 is destined. Over time, the Indonesian government has designated this building as a cultural heritage building.
Not far from that place, there is an "ash house" with the name of the dharma clan. There are hundreds of ashes from people who have died. However, when I visited, this place was closed. However, this house is not maintained
This building is opposite the Jakarta city station. Built in biblical architecture in 1921. The building was powered by 2016. The building is painted white with floors covered in white marble. By the way, this building consists of three floors of art deco architectural style. This building has two large domes.
Not far from the olveh building, I needed to take a short walk in the business district. However, the business area is quite specific with only locks, doors and lights. All of these items are for building materials and electronics only.
Not far from that area, on Jalan Pinangsia Raya, is the first tenement of Batavia. Only five buildings remain. This house is the forerunner of modern houses in Jakarta. In this house, it consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen and Lamar only. Predictably, the house was built in 1920 with a Chinese architectural design with a saddle roof.
This church uses Hokkien language. In front of the church there is even a Hokkien language installed as an identification if this church uses the Hokkien language. However, I cannot enter this church. Built in 1948, but only available in 1952. This church building is similar to other churches. In terms of buildings, this church does not have architectural peculiarities.
The Temple is in the school area. In addition, this temple was built in the 19th century, offered by Lu Ban Gong who was the protector of the woodworkers. Previously, in this area had a job as a carpenter. thus, this church was dedicated to Lu Ban Gong. That's the only story I can share. In particular, I will tell you in other writings. How are you interested in my story, I hope you enjoy my story.
