Good afternoon, travelers from around the world.
I don't know when I'll be able to take another long trip, but the good thing is that I haven't stopped visiting places in my city. It's always good to do a little local tourism to connect with those iconic sites in the region, so today I'll take you to see the Church of San Tarcisio.
The San Tarcisio Church is located on Ring Road 2 in the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela. I've wanted to show it to you for a long time, but I hadn't been able to get to this part of the city. I've always really liked its architecture; it's very striking and imposing. It's not common to see a religious temple with this style. Its large stained-glass windows that reflect the surroundings stand out.
It was inaugurated in 1991 and designed by a well-known architect. It is part of the City of God complex. It is crescent-shaped and its roof is painted terracotta red, which seems to rise in a large spiral. It also has a thin base that supports a cross at the top. It is quite modern and has some plants and flowering shrubs at its entrance and surroundings.
When I visited, the doors were closed, but I focused my attention on a beautiful nativity scene that was still on display, as it is traditionally left up until February 2, Candlemas Day. There was also a crucified Jesus that looked very real.
They say that the interior is fascinating, full of works of art brought from abroad, and that it even has an amphitheater, but I won't know until I visit again. For now, I'll settle for what I did get to see and the crescent moon that accompanied us that afternoon.
There is no such thing as a short visit when memories flood the mind.

La Iglesia San Tarcisio se encuentra ubicada en la circunvalación 2 en la ciudad de Maracaibo, Venezuela, hace mucho que quería mostrárselas pero no había podido acercarme hasta esta zona de la ciudad, siempre me ha gustado mucho su arquitectura es muy llamativa e imponente, no es común ver un templo religioso con este estilo, se destacan sus grandes ventanales con vidrieras que reflejan el entorno.
Fue ignagurada en 1991 y diseñada por un arquitecto conocido, forma parte del complejo Ciudad de Dios, su forma es de media luna y su techo esta pintando de un color rojo terracota que parece ir subiendo en forma de un gran espiral, además tiene una fina base que sostiene en lo más alto una cruz, es bastante moderna y con algunas plantas, arbustos con flores en su entrada y alrededores.
Para el momento de mi visita sus puertas estaban cerradas, pero mejor me concentré en un hermoso pesebre que seguía puesto, ya que tradicionalmente se deja hasta el 2 de febrero Día de la Candelaria, también se encontraba un Jesús crucificado que se veía muy real.
Dicen que su interior es fascinante, lleno de obras de arte traídas desde el exterior y hasta tiene un anfiteatro, pero no lo sabre hasta que haga una próxima visita, por los momentos me quedo con lo que si pude conocer y con la luna creciente que nos acompañaba ese día durante la tarde.
No hay visita corta, cuando las memorias inundan la mente.
