Hello travelers!
Although our visit was only going to be to Cubiro on Sunday morning before returning to Maracaibo, we decided to head to Sanare, a small town full of incredible landscapes that is also located within the state of Lara. We had no idea how long it would take us to get there, although it seemed to be close by. We knew we had little time, so we wanted to enjoy the journey.
After breakfast, we descended from the high mountains along the road that leads from Cubiro to Quibor. The weather was quite pleasant, and I could feel a cool breeze until we finally reached a fork in the road where there is a plaza with a rather creative large vessel supported by legs that keep it elevated.
Once we left the main road, we took the highway that leads to Sanare. I must say that this road has the most beautiful panoramic views. Although we didn't have high expectations, we were surprised by nature. At first, we could only see rural areas, but once we started climbing the mountains, they became noticeable, and some areas looked like a forest.
Before reaching Sanare, some mountains were brown rather than green, and the road became steeper, but soon we began our descent toward the village, where the road wound through the mountains and cars could be seen like tiny ants.
Some landmarks we encountered on our motorcycle route to the village were: the Sanare Viewpoint, which has metal flowers and offers views of the mountains, a sculpture of a large bear, and the colorful and cheerful letters spelling out "Sanare."
Last but not least, once we reached the streets and were heading to other points of interest, we came across a sculpture in a small square in honor of the Zaragoza festivities, which take place every December on December 28, the Day of the Innocents.

¡Hola viajeros!
Aunque nuestra visita solo iba a ser Cubiro el domingo por la mañana antes de regresar a Maracaibo decidimos tomar rumbo a Sanare, un pueblito lleno de paisajes increíbles que también se encuentra ubicado dentro del Estado Lara, no teníamos idea de cuanto nos iba a demorar llegar aunque aparentemente se encontraba cerca, sabíamos que teníamos poco tiempo así que queríamos disfrutar del recorrido.
Una vez que desayunamos, descendimos desde las altas montañas por la carretera que conduce de Cubiro a Quibor, el clima era bastante agradable y solo podía sentir una brisa fría, hasta que finalmente llegamos a una bifurcación de la vía donde se encuentra una plaza conn una vasija bastante creativa es grande y que tiene unos pies que la sostienen y la mantienen un alto.
Una vez que dejamos la vía principal, tomamos la carretera que conduce a Sanare, debo decir que este camino tiene las vistas panorámicas más preciosas, aunque no teníamos altas espectactivas fuimos sorprendidos por la naturaleza, al iniciar solo podíamos ver zonas rurales, pero una vez que empezamos a ascender las montañas se hacían notar y algunas zonas parecían de un bosque.
Antes de llegar a Sanare algunas montañas no eran de color verde sino marrón y la carretera se volvía más empinada, pero pronto inició nuestro descenso hacia el pueblo y donde la carretera se dibujaba en las montañas y podían verse los autos como hormiguitas.
Algunos puntos de referencia que nos encontramos llegando al pueblo en nuestra ruta en moto fueron: El Mirador de Sanare el cuál tiene unas flores metálicas y ofrece unas vistas a las montañas, una escultura con un oso grande y las letras corporeas de Sanare muy coloridas y llenas de alegría.
Por último pero no menos importante una vez llegamos a sus calles y mientras nos dirigimos a otros puntos de interés nos encontramos con una escultura en una pequeña plaza en honor a las fiestas de Zaragoza, que realizan cada diciembre el 28 de diciembre en el Día de los inocentes.
