Good morning travelers from all over the world, I hope you are doing well, whether on an adventure or looking for a new one, as always I like to take you on a trip as if you had gone with me.
I want to show you a little bit of the end of my most recent trip to the state of Merida after all the tour we made through the Musui, in addition to its hot springs and then by the route of the moor that gave almost culminated our tour in the Pico del Aguila, this day unlike my visit in January the weather was quite cold and not so warm and sunny, it had been raining all afternoon this day and when I got off the bus I felt that I was freezing, although I had several layers of clothes on, when we talked there was a lot of steam coming out of my mouth due to the temperature.
For those who do not know, this site is the highest point of the Carretera Trasandina and has a monument where there is a column painted white and at its tip an eagle with a medal with the face of Simon Bolivar in its beak and was inaugurated in 1927 and is a reminder of the passage of the Liberator by Merida, from the moment you can also see the road as it continues to the towns of Chachopo and Timotes, the view that gives us the height to the mountains are still a beauty to my eyes when I stop to appreciate them.
Afterwards my sister and I went in search of something to eat, as our tour would have no more stops and it was close to 6:00pm so we preferred to have dinner at this time, we wanted to eat shelled but they were sold out, the only thing we found was some chorizo skewers that came with boiled potatoes, while we waited for them to be ready, we took the opportunity to see some souvenirs, among which we could find fridge magnets, quite colorful key holders with the names of Merida and Venezuela painted on them, also some candies, guava preserves and wheels of smoked cheese, I wanted to bring everything but I had already bought candies to take to my family.
Finally our meal was ready and my sister and I tasted some delicious smoked chorizo skewers that were spectacular and to tell the truth they filled me up a lot, I also took some tostones for the way back to Maracaibo.
It was all for this trip, I love Merida and its wonderful and magical landscapes, I would like to go there every month, see you soon traveler friends, a hug.

Para los que no lo saben, esté sitio es el punto más alto de la Carretera Trasandina y tiene un monumento donde se encuentra una columna pintada de blanco y en su punta un águila con una medalla con la cara de Simón Bolivar en su pico y fue ignagurado en el año 1927 y es un recordatorio del paso del Libertador por Mérida, desde el momento puede verse además la carretera como continúa hacia los pueblos de Chachopo y Timotes, la vista que nos regala la altura hacia las montañas no dejan de ser una belleza para mis ojos cuando me detengo a apreciarlas.
Después mi hermana y yo fuimos en busca de algo para comer, ya que nuestro tour no tendría más paradas y eran cerca de las 6:00pm así que preferimos cenar a está hora, queríamos comer desgranado pero se habían agotado, lo único que encontramos fue unos pinchos de chorizo que venían acompañados con papas hervidas, mientras esperábamos que estuvieran listos, aprovechamos para ver un poco los souvenir, entre los cuáles podíamos encontrar imanes para la nevera, portallaves bastante coloridos con los nombres de Mérida y Venezuela pintados en ellos, también algunos dulces, conservas de guayaba y ruedas de queso ahumado, yo quería traerme todo pero ya había comprado dulces para llevar a mi familia.
Finalmente estuvo nuestra comida y mi hermana y yo degustamos de unos deliciosos pinchos de chorizo ahumado que estaban espectaculares y a decir verdad me llenaron bastante, llevé también unos tostones para el camino de regreso a Maracaibo.
Fue todo por este viaje, amo Mérida y sus maravillosos y mágicos paisajes quisiera ir todos los meses, hasta pronto amigos viajeros, un abrazo.
