I've been there several times, especially to attend fairs. Casalguidi is a very lively town in the plain, hosting fairs, festivals, and fairs, as well as concerts, meetings, and so on. Many of these are organized by residents, volunteer associations, and the parish. However, today there were no special events; my husband and I simply went there for a look, actually looking for a very affordable pet shop that had been recommended to us, but which we found closed. Casalguidi is a town in the Pistoia plain, near Quarrata, the famous furniture-making town, located in the municipality of Serravalle, which, strangely enough, encompasses two distinct parts: Serravalle is on one side of the valley, and Casalguidi is on the other.
Casalguidi is one of the typical villages of the plain, unfortunately also subject to frequent flooding and with a bad history regarding some nurseries that have used pesticides causing an increase in thyroid cases in the area. However, I don't want to talk about the negative aspects of this place but the positive ones are better, right?

Casalguidi es un pueblo muy animado en la llanura, donde se celebran ferias, festivales, conciertos, reuniones, etc. Muchos de estos eventos son organizados por los vecinos, asociaciones de voluntarios y la parroquia. Sin embargo, hoy no había ningún evento especial; mi marido y yo simplemente fuimos a echar un vistazo, en realidad buscábamos una tienda de mascotas muy económica que nos habían recomendado, pero que encontramos cerrada. Casalguidi es un pueblo en la llanura de Pistoia, cerca de Quarrata, la famosa ciudad de la fabricación de muebles, ubicado en el municipio de Serravalle, que, curiosamente, abarca dos partes distintas: Serravalle está a un lado del valle y Casalguidi al otro.
Casalguidi es uno de los pueblos típicos de la llanura, lamentablemente también propenso a inundaciones frecuentes y con un historial problemático debido a algunos viveros que han utilizado pesticidas, lo que ha provocado un aumento de casos de tiroides en la zona. Sin embargo, no quiero hablar de los aspectos negativos de este lugar, sino de los positivos, ¿verdad?
Casalguidi was a rural town for years, and in some areas it still is, but in recent years it has also been surrounded by nurseries, especially beyond the community and town center. As you can see from the photos, there are still many areas immersed in greenery with houses and farmhouses scattered here and there. In the distance, you can see Montalbano overlooking the entire plain on that side. Even on the urban side, Casalguidi is still a green area. I really liked the fact that almost all the streets are tree-lined; it's a beautiful thing to see instead of the usual boring, gray roads. It's a very quiet village composed of houses and fields, a simple and pleasant place with lots of greenery around, little traffic, and certainly if we were to explore more deeply, I'd love to visit the countryside, which I always love. Casalguidi fue un pueblo rural durante años, y en algunas zonas aún lo es, pero en los últimos años también se ha visto rodeado de viveros, especialmente fuera del centro del pueblo. Como se puede apreciar en las fotos, todavía hay muchas zonas verdes con casas y granjas dispersas. A lo lejos, se divisa Montalbano, que domina toda la llanura. Incluso en la zona urbana, Casalguidi sigue siendo un lugar verde. Me encantó que casi todas las calles estén arboladas; es un espectáculo precioso, muy diferente a las típicas carreteras grises y aburridas. Es un pueblo muy tranquilo, compuesto por casas y campos, un lugar sencillo y agradable, rodeado de vegetación, con poco tráfico, y sin duda, si exploráramos más a fondo, me encantaría visitar el campo, que siempre me fascina.
