Our last stop in Croatia was Rijeka from there we got in the car to the border where we looked for roads to avoid paying the expensive Slovenian travel tax for the motorways, we found a free option namely the e66 road which also allowed us to stop to admire various magnificent passages between Slovenia and Italy. This road is mainly a road immersed in greenery that winds through various small and traditional villages, we imagined that the life of those who live near the borders is very solitary there are only clusters of houses and few restaurants or businesses. However the landscape is magnificent made of immense fields that give a peaceful air, countryside and small and typical houses. As we got closer to Italy, the landscape obviously changed with more urban agglomerations and many more bars and restaurants, however, taking this border road made us see a Slovenia where it seems to be in an idyllic setting with large green fields and lots of tranquility. In the future we would like to visit it more carefully because it has very beautiful nature and even the small villages seem delightful and pious, it is really very close to our beautiful Italy!
