Nowadays, almost everyone admits that their hobby is traveling. Unfortunately those who claim that this hobby of walking is just a walk and uploading photos on social media without being able to take lessons from the journey they do. Padahala, if we want to absorb a lot of positive things that we can take from every trip we take. Besides being fun and being able to upload photos on social media, this fun hobby also has many benefits, you know Sahabats. Happy is the man who is living by his hobby. George Bernard Shaw's very catchy short sentence has always been an encouragement for me to consistently go on a picnic even though I just came there. Which human is not happy if he can channel his hobby as well as become a productive hobby. Iyes alhamdhulillah, since you have a blog in the travel genre, you can also feel that you can earn money from traveling.
Well, at least there are 4 positive sides that I get from traveling as a hobby that, God willing, I will continue to do as long as Allah grants health and as long as my body is in my life.
1. Stress Release
Everyday, our lives are busy with office and household work. It is very humane if sometimes we feel bored and stressed. Tired of sitting in front of a laptop all day so want to see a colorful world. If you are already stressed like this then there is only one panacea for me, traveling. It doesn't matter where it's going, even if it's close. As long as you can see Allah's beautiful earth, your heart will automatically become lighter and happier. Next time the Sahabats feel bored and stressed, try a picnic. Guaranteed stress crashed successfully.
2. Strengthen Relationships
In my case, traveling is always a fun agenda for bonding with family. When traveling with family, we will enter a world that is different from our daily lives at home. This is where our patience and communication methods are usually tested. How much patience do we have when dealing with cranky children when traveling, how do we communicate our feelings and what we want with our partner, even how do we organize a travel agenda with the children's wishes. Everything has art, you know, Sahabats and all the actions we take that we don't even take can be opportunities to strengthen love and affection between family members. As parents, we have the opportunity to collect as much memory as possible when traveling with children. Make exciting activities that they will not forget and, God willing, will be unforgettable memories for them.
3. Adding Insights
Out of our comfort zone, we will definitely be faced with challenges. From the experiences we get while traveling, our eyes and insight will open. We grow up to be human beings who are more tolerant and respect the differences that exist in the world. We learn that in other parts of the world there are many beautiful places with diverse cultures. During traveling, we can simultaneously learn a new language, experience new food, meet new people, it's just fun. And most importantly, every journey we take should bring us closer to Allah, growing gratitude and love for the Creator and His flawless creation.
4. Improve Social Skills
Still connected with the points above, Sahabats. Out of our comfort zone, we kneel down to adjust to local customs and culture. Directly or indirectly, our social skills are really tested. Indonesians who are known for their hours of carriage and indiscipline when abroad must be able to adapt. The simplest thing is learning on time with public transportation schedules, queuing discipline. Besides that, the way we communicate, especially with new people we know, is also tested when traveling. We can really get all this useful knowledge if we want to learn and stay just as tourists who come, take photos, go away. Without impression, whatsoever.
There is also the experience of going up the mountain with a toddler which has inspired several other mothers to follow the same thing. Sharing is a very simple thing and very easy to do but it turns out to be very beneficial.
