Dear nature lovers, this summer visiting Devojački bunar, Deliblatska peščara is an exceptional nature reserve, within Deliblatska peščara there is also this specific part of the locality.
This locality covers approximately 200 hectares of forest area.
HISTORY OF THE GIRL'S WELL:
The afforestation of these forests dates back to the reign of Maria Terzia, about eight wells were dug in these forests, so the settlement was named after those wells Devojački bunar.
There are small trees on these surfaces, and the grass that grows is somehow special, there is a settlement nearby that is surrounded by beautiful plains and this beautiful nature.
There is also a swimming pool nearby, which is open in summer, unfortunately this time it was closed to visitors.
We were not disappointed that the pool did not work, we moved on, photographing the nature that surrounds us. There are fields of corn that is already for harvest.
LEGEND SHOWS:
That this area was once inhabited by settlers who lived in dugouts that were a kind of defense against frequent attacks by Turkish hordes. Unfortunately, one girl fell in love with a young Turk, with whom she ran away. As an expression of opposition and condemnation of her actions, her compatriots, waiting at the well, stoned and killed her. According to the legend, since then that well has been called the Girl's Well.
The nature that surrounds this environment is really nice to see, the sun is slowly setting, and the moon can be seen from the other side, I managed to photograph everything, one beautiful impression remained, observing the beautiful landscapes.
This oasis of peace and greenery attracts people to visit it, to listen to the legend as the environment got its name, and some travelers who travel somewhere further stop to rest and take a break.
