There was no contact with us for two days, the family slowly began to worry, and all this was because we were making our way from Bolivia to Chile by the most beautiful way possible - that is through the Altiplano. Altiplano Agatka cleverly deciphered as a cluster of Spanish words "alto" and "plano" meaning high and flat, so flat-high. Flat, generally flat, although sometimes there are mountains, or actually volcanic cones. It is also high and it is very, which was quite bad for us. We spent the previous night at an altitude of about 4300m above sea level, and at the record point of the route, my GPS showed 4915m above sea level, which is one hundred meters higher than the highest peak in Europe, Mont Blanc. Only Tibet can pride itself on being a higher plateau. Throughout our stay on the Altiplano we felt like flies in the tar. Going to the 3rd floor in the hostel was a challenge like the 10th floor of a dormitory, and this last record night in the case of Agatka was completely sleepless. So far our heads hurt from this height, but it was worth it.

Nie było z nami kontaktu przez dwa dni, rodzina pomału zaczynała się niepokoić, a to wszystko przez to, że przedzieraliśmy się z Boliwii do Chile najładniejszą możliwą drogą - czyli przez Altiplano. Altiplano Agatka sprytnie rozszyfrowała jako zbitek hiszpańskich słów "alto" i "plano" znaczących wysoko i płasko, a więc płasko-wyż. Płasko, no generalnie jest płasko, choć czasami zdarzają się góry, a właściwie to stożki wulkaniczne. Wysoko też jest i to bardzo, co dało nam się dość mocno we znaki. Poprzednią noc spędziliśmy na wysokości ok 4300m n.p.m, a w rekordowym momencie trasy mój GPS pokazał 4915m n.p.m czyli sto metrów wyżej, niż najwyższy szczyt Europy Mont Blanc. Tylko Tybet może poszczycić się mianem wyższego płaskowyżu. Przez cały czas pobytu na Altiplano czuliśmy się jak muchy w smole. Wyjście na 3 piętro w hostelu było wyzwaniem niczym 10 piętro akademika, a ta ostatnia rekordowa noc w przypadku Agatki była całkowicie nieprzespana. Do tej pory bolą nas głowy od tej wysokości, ale warto było.
