I have been in Kushtia city for several days. Since the birthday of Rabindranath Tagore (poet) is being celebrated on the occasion of Baishakh on the 25th of this month, his home town Shilaida Kothiba. Shilaida Kothiba is being celebrated by organizing various types of programs and various arrangements to celebrate the day of poet Rabindranath Tagore. I will have to cover a distance of 10 to 15 kilometers from Kushtia. The fare from Kushtia to Kumarkhali Kuthibari will be thirty taka.
Besides, Kushtia district can be easily reached from any district or division of Bangladesh. In this case, Kushtia district can be reached by bus or train. Then from there, Kumarkhali Kuthibari can be easily reached. We left for the Kuthibari in the afternoon.
Since it was quite hot, that is why I chose the afternoon time. There is a river Gorai next to Rabindranath Tagore's house. The river that joins the Padma River and is a small branch of the Padma River. This beauty of the river in the late afternoon is nice. You will forget all the troubles of the day in an instant as soon as you feel the healing breeze of the river.
This fair is held for exactly three days on the occasion of the birthday. Well, it is the third day. On the last day, I hope to enjoy the moments of the fair. From the comfortable air, I come directly to Rabindranath Kuthibari. I enter through the gate and this is not the main gate. And there is a field here. A prayer ceremony is held at this place on the occasion of his birthday.
Many of his devotees have come here to enjoy the day on the occasion of the birthday of poet Rabindranath Tagore during the prayer ceremony. Everyone is conducting various types of poems, literary plays, in a word, many things in the ceremony. The devotees of the poet are watching and listening to all these programs with great attention. What a wonderful program it was as if the real picture of the poet is being presented.
Tickets are sold during the event. And yes, of course there are tickets here. It will cost you 20 taka to buy a ticket. Whenever you buy a ticket and start walking through the gate, you will see the streets decorated with Alpanas. Although you will not see the Alpanas design all the time.
The special reason for this is that only in the case of some programs and cultural events, such decorations are designed a few times a year. The place looks great decorated with Alpanas. Those who did this handiwork did a great job. There is no end to the trees on both sides of the road. The endless trees and natural beauty have made this place much more attractive.
Rabindranath Kuthibari This is the house where he lived. He lived in this place and remained in this place until his death. And this house is decorated every year. It is a means of paying respect and homage to the poet. It has left behind such a diverse historical legacy that it is truly unimaginable.
