Namaste š
Hope you all are doing great!!!
Summers are about to arrive here in northern India and every day itās getting warmer and warmer temperature usually peaks at around 28 to 30°C in the daytime, but mostly stays at around 24°C. This is the perfect time to explore the areas around the North Indian plains. Taking advantage of this situation me and now on quest to discover new places here in and around the capital region of Delhi.
This is the continuation of my last blog of Lodhi Garden. The last blog was about the entry and the reception gate and the area around it. While in this blog, we explore the garden further more. If you havenāt been through my last blog already, Iāll be posting link below for you to check out. And Iām really stoked for the love and support. I am getting on my blog nowadays.

The design of this garden is in such a way that a single road gets through the garden and many circular loads intersect it in various places. Right now, we were walking on the straight Road to find a way and trust our instinct on where we would turn on the circular roads.
As this garden is about 90 acres wide, there are a lot of places in this garden to explore at the time. When we were there, we saw a lot of people walking around and having fun. It was the weekend also that could be the reason why many people were roaming around there.
While walking in this garden, you will surely get to know about how the capital region of Delhi must have looked and felt before 500 years during the time of Lodi Dynasty. Dairy used to be the capital city of most of the Dynasties like Mughals and Lodhi, and apart from that it was called Indraprastha during the time of Mahabharata, which took place around 5000 to 10,000 years back. So you can imagine how vast the past of Delhi is.
Nowadays, Delhiās main problem is population. According to me, the city is populated in the certain areas. This population explosion has put a lot of pressure on the environmental aspect and also the ecological aspect of the city. This is one of the few areas in Delhi NCR that are this green and natural. On the contrast, most of the areas of Delhi are highly polluted and highly populated.
While walking, we came across a lot of such ancient buildings on our way. We realise that these buildings are the tombs of certain people who are buried here. These buildings are thought to be about 500 years old and represents the time period when the Lodi Dynasty was ruling the kingdom of Northern India and modern Pakistan.
In the photograph above, you can see a group of people were spreading out their mattress for the picnic they planned. We came across a lot of such groups here in the garden as this garden is the perfect place for a family picnic in the weekend.
We came across a lot of varieties of trees here in the garden. I am not even sure about the kind of trees they were, but they all look really different to me at times. Some of them leaves on them. Some trees had flowers on them while some had needles, so they were turn off different kinds of trees there. If you are into exploration of the botany, this place is for you.
If you had been to Delhi before, and you havenāt been here, you should totally come here as this place will open your eyes about the view you have towards the capital of India. This place is far far away from the pollution that the main city has to offer in every expect and the fees that you will get visiting here is immeasurable.
Weāve been walking straight for about 15 minutes now, enjoying a day and watching people around. Now we came across the circular path I was talking about earlier. It was Canal kind of path which turned around the area of the park.
We decided to circle this path for a while before moving further. I guess it must have been the Canal only at the time when Lodhi were ruling this area. Now, this Canal is converted to the circular path that connects the inner regions of the park.
They were many vines that spread across the canal and it offered some of the most photogenic locations of this garden. Taking advantage of that we decided to capture some of our photographs there.
As you must have seen in my previous blogs, I donāt capture my photographs that often, but nowadays I have decided to capture myself in the photograph as well, just for the sake of memories, and I also realise that I didnāt had many photographs of me in the past couple years, so I want to showcase myself on my travels as well.
After walking for a while, this canal started to narrow down a little bit. We kept on walking on this narrow canal until we reached place where a lot of different varieties of trees were planned.
I was really amazed to see pine trees flourishing there in the middle of the garden. Pine trees usually grow on the mountains where I live, but it was really amazing to see them grow hair in the regions of Delhi. I wondered how the pine could survive in such high temperatures of around 45 to 50°C.
There were a lot of things to explore in the garden, but being unaware of all the things we just randomly walked across the garden and found our way through the trails.
We were not quite to the main attractions of the garden that was the tombs of Lodhi and other kings of that time. I will be writing about those. I guess this is sufficient for this blog so thatās all for today.
See you in the next one.
