Namaste š
Hope you all are doing great!!!
First of all, I would like to thank you all for going through my blogs. It really means a lot to me. I am really grateful that I visited this place, and this memory will be with me forever. As soon as we entered this place, and we got off the cable car in which we were travelling, I could suddenly feel peace within me arising.
As this place is only accessible by cable car only , there is only a road that is being constructed nowadays only and thatās not even fully functional, so there are no big roads. There are only small trails which leads to the temple after crossing through this market.
This blog is majorly going to be about the market and the kind of environment that you will see when you will enter the market after getting off of the cable car. If you havenāt been through my last blog, I highly recommend you guys to check that out, because in that blog, I mentioned my experience of travelling in the cable car. That blog is a must read if you are interested in my journey. Iāll be mentioning my journey in the below link for you guys to check out.

So after getting out of the dropping zone of the cable car, we reached the marketplace. It was a really narrow market with just enough path for multiple people to walk and not enough path for a vehicle to pass.
The market was full of all kinds of shops, ranging from restaurants. The shop selling worship items, the shop selling clothes. The shop selling souvenir items, the shops with wooden work and the shops that were a kind of photo studio where you can print the photograph that you took there.
I did not expected the market to be this big when I visited this place. Especially when I was in the cable car. I couldnāt imagine the place I was visiting to be this huge and this crowded. I thought that we would reach a mountain top and they would only be a temple and a few other buildings in which people live, but too much surprise, there was a huge village on top of this mountain, and after crossing that market, you reach the centre point, that is the temple.
Now in these photographs, you can see a shop that really got my attention. This shop was a shop which was selling the wooden items only. Everything in the shop was made up of wood. They were many items like utensils, tools, utility stuff, and toys along with showpieces available in that shop for sale.
I thought that I would buy something for me once I get back from the temple. The road was not straight, but instead, there were steps that led us towards the temple as you can see in the photographs too. I had to be really careful about my grandparents and I was helping them to climb the steps so that we could reach towards the temple as soon as possible.
Another thing that I found really surprising there was that in spite of this being a Hindu Temple, non-vegetarian food and chicken mutton, et cetera was ready available in the market. Here in the photographs, you can see a Ron vegetarian restaurant serving the dishes with chicken.
As this temple was dedicated to a goddess, so there were many shops selling the pieces that were used in the worship of the goddess. Just like you can see in the photograph below. In short, the overall environment of this place was really calm. When I visited this place, it wasnāt too crowded, but it wasnāt empty as well. They were people who were buying some stuff from the market, but it wasnāt really crowded.
At this moment, we were already working for about 10 to 15 minutes, and now my grandparents were tired, so we had to do rest for a while. There were many stairs to climb just to reach to the temple as I already mentioned in my previous paragraphs, and you can also see that in the photographs below.
As we moved closer to the temple, most of the shops now were selling the worship items only as you can see in the photograph. 2 now all the shops selling different things disappeared, and suddenly now all shops were selling worship items as now we were approaching Temple, and now we thought that we would also need to buy something as we are getting inside of the temple.
Here we did another round of rest as my grandparents were exhausted a little bit, and while they were taking a break, I was observing the kind of people that I was able to see in the market, and one old lady caught my eye who was smoking a cigarette, and I captured her photograph that you can see in the photograph below.
And just after walking for about 5 minutes we could see the Manakamna Temple in its full glory. It was really looking very nice from in between the market as you can see in the photo below.
Now we had to buy the Worship Items to take to the temple. So we stopped by a nearby shop to buy flowers as you can see in the photo below. I was really excited to visit the temple now.
I will be writing more about my experience of visiting temple in next blog.
Thatās all for today.
Thanks for passing by.
