Today’s blog is about my journey to the unknown forest area above my village. It was a clear day after a series of overcast once and I along with my brother, decided to go on a day hike.
We started working at around 7 AM from our house and straightaway went to the forest after walking for half an hour. We reached about few hundred metres above the elevation of my village and my village was looking really tiny from there as you can see in the photograph above.
The view of himalayan ranges was also clearly visible as they were very less clouds in the sky at that time of the day, in spite of it being a monsoon season. It’s very difficult nowadays to see clear skies as sky is always overcast with dark clouds that are ready to drop showers any time.
As it was a really clear day, the sun rays were really sharp and were directly falling on our skin. After working for about 45 minutes. We found this beautiful spot right under the shadow of this huge tree, and we decided to spend some time there. I captured the above photographs of my brother from sitting in the shade and enjoying my breakfast that I packed from my house.
Because of the monsoon season, the greenery is at its peak, and the bushes are growing from all around as you can see in the photographs too. There is only just a small trail leading up to the mountain in between the bushes and it’s quite hard to find the way, and it’s quite easy to get lost and to overcome this, we were relying on the maps.
Although we didn’t wanted to go anywhere specific, but we just wanted to be on the top of this mountain for the sake of the adventure, but still we didn’t wanted to go in completely unknown track as it could be really dangerous because of various reasons. First one being the fear of wild animals and second one being getting lost in a very difficult place.
We were going to the Jungle for fun and adventures, and we didn’t want to take any risks, so we just followed the trail that would straightaway take us to the middle of the forest and also to the top of the mountain, so it was a win win situation, just to follow the trail and enjoy The views that this has to offer us.
After just walking for about half an hour more, we reached such a place where there was no sign of any civilisation. They were no people around us and we were only ones present on this promo mountain. It was a really nice feeling and we were feeling peace from within us.
We found this farm on the sidelines of the trail and there was no one who was taking care of this farm. It was just growing. Someone had planted the seeds and let the plantation grow wild. This could only be the fate of such plantations as reaching here. only will take about a couple hours from the village.
Not only there were many varieties of plants, but also there were many varieties of animal life present on this mountain inside this Jungle on our way up, we found this really interesting looking bug which I captured beautifully with my iPhone camera, and this is by far the best photograph, I have taken in a really long time.
