Namaste 🙏
Hope you all are doing great!
Today’s blog is going to be about my experience of spending a chilly evening in the heart of the Spiti Valley that is Batal. If you go through my past blogs, you will come to know about where I am staying and also how I got here. To understand my full journey, you can go through my previous blogs.
In this photograph you can see the Chandra river in its full glory. It originates from the deep parts of Himalayas and a part of it is also formed because of the world famous Chandratal Lake.
Although it is not visible in the photos but the temperature at the time when I was capturing those was about -4 C. We were freezing and still be were out there enjoying ourselves at 3600 m elevation above sea level.
We were standing by the very famous Batal bridge which is the lifeline of Spiti Valley. This is the only link that connects the two districts which are different in the same state of Himalayas (Himachal Pradesh).
This the Batal bridge, it might not look so significant at first but when you know about the significance of this construction, you can’t overlook this. All the vehicles who are going to Kaza or to Sissu vice versa have to cross via this.
We were there for about half an hour before it completely blacked out. The starts came out and were shining bright on us. The iPhone, old iPhone camera was not at all paying justice to the views I was seeing.
But still I managed to capture the photos for you which you can see in the photos. Let me know in the comments which one is the best according to you.
That’s all for today! Thanks for passing by.
Peace ☮️
