A very good afternoon from the dry cold desert of Spiti Valley in Indian Himalayas. So we were approaching our destination for the day that was still more than a couple hours away from the place where we were at currently.
We were driving across this road that was still under construction while driving. We found this memorial of a guy from West Bengal, who died in this Harsh region of Spiti Valley. There are many cases of such incidents here because which places is ruthless and very dangerous at the same time.
Being at about 3500 m above sea level. This place is no joke. Being here can make you sick from high altitude sickness, and you can suffer from shortness of breath as well. Not only that here are many snow leopards, and wild animals who are continuously looking for hunting.
Snowfall can happen any time in this remote region and people can get stuck for days in row one such incident happened a few years back. When about 70 people were stuck for months and were rescued by a local family who fed them for two months that family have got presidents award as well. I’m gonna take you guys to that family restaurant or Dhaba that is very famous in the next blog.
Thanks to all the hard-working people who are constructing this beautiful road for the people to access this beautiful place. When I visited here. A few years back, there was no proper road. However, proper road still has not been constructed, but at least we have a little bit wide Road, as you can see the photograph and the potholes are very less, and the road is perfectly levelled. It’s not a proper Road, but it’s perfectly levelled.
After crossing the hard-working people saying hi to The next part of the journey was a little bit comfortable as compared to the first part. As now we had a perfectly laveled straight road ahead of Us for a few kilometres. Now our speed increased tremendously and we had covered a lot of distance.
Now our focus mainly shifted towards watching the beautiful landscapes around us, rather than worrying about the road condition and the camp where we were about to spend the night. Now we were particularly focused on the views that were around us, and they were mesmerising as you can see in the photograph.
These particular peaks caught my attention as you can see on the top of the peak. It’s very rare formation formed. It’s looking like just a rock is about to fall.
This is one of the most bizarre peaks I have ever seen in my life. It’s quite rare and I was seeing this for the first time. Let me know in the comments. Have you ever seen such kind of thing in your life and if yes, let me know in the comments where?
It is no surprise that these rocks can sometimes fall to the road. In the below photograph, you can see huge rocks on the side of the roads that are obviously from the mountain top and imagine if rock certainly falls over a Vehicle. What would be the consequences of that?
This place is very remote and very dangerous. At the same time. You should treat this place with respect. Otherwise, if you treat it with respect, the consequences can be fatal.
