Namaste 🙏
Hope you all are doing great!
Pokhara in Nepal is just so beautiful that the both best sunset and the best sunrise I’ve ever witnessed in my life are from the different parts of the same city. Both of these experiences are really special to me and while writing this post I revisited my own blog that I wrote a few days back to refresh my memory of the best sunset I’ve ever experienced. I think it’s really a good idea to show you guys that experience before continuing with the best sunrise experience so I am posting the link to that blog below for you all to check out.
The best sunset of my life-
The best sunrise of my life-
After witnessing the best sunset of my life last day at Pokhara Lakeside, I didn’t expected to see the best sunrise of my life the very next morning. I woke up at 4 AM to visit the Sarangkot sunrise point, and if you have been following my last blogs, you must be knowing that I am travelling with elderly people, so they all came only till the parking and didn’t trek all the way up to the watch tower that is on the highest point of the Pokhara city.
It was me only from my group who travelled all the way up to the top, and I reached the watch Tower just before time. Sunrise was about to happen and I reached there about 5 to 10 minutes earlier. As soon as I reach there, I was awarded with the mesmerising view of the Himalayas right in front of me. I could also see the Pokhara city from the top and a lot of other places nearby to the Pokhara city as well. You can see that to in the photograph above.
The Sunrise of the heaven 🌅-
This place is the best place to witness the lower himalayan peaks, as well as one of the highest peaks in the world at the same time. The eastern side from where the sun was rising, had comparatively low height peaks, so the sun rising from behind them was clearly visible.
I never saw sunrise so excitingly, and I never experience the sunrise this way previously in my life. I was standing with a lot of people on top of this watch tower, and the view I was seeing right in front of my eyes was breathtaking.
We could see the panoramic view or we can say the 360° view of the Pokhara city as well as the himalayan ranges. Towards north, as the sun was slowly rising, the first ray of the sun was shining bright on the highest mountains of the world. Some of the mountains were more than 8000 m such as Manalsu and many were above 7000 m in the Annapurna range that was visible right in front of us.
Everyone was so excited and so happy to see this kind of view. There were people from all around the world, standing on top of this watch tower and discussing about the best sunrise of their life too. I realise that it was not only me who considered this as the best sunrise of his life, but there were a lot of other people with whom I had a word and they also felt the same thing after we were getting down from the top of the watch tower.
After capturing some photographs, for you guys, it was time for me to sit there quietly for a while, and enjoy this moment to the fullest. I didn’t had a lot of time as I had to catch up with the group. I was travelling with. I didn’t had any kind of mobile connectivity as well as I was travelling in a foreign country, so I had to make it back to the Parking just in time so that I can get back to my hotel room with my group.
Keeping that in mind, I only stayed up there for about 20 minutes before I started moving towards the Parking, where everyone was present. The Parking was about a kilometre away from the place I was standing, and I had to really run back to the parking to catch them.
Now sun was up and the sun was catering, magical sunrise. I am saying that so because everything and everywhere I saw now was really beautiful and magical and all the photographs that I have captured from now onwards really came out to be super beautiful as you can also see and realise yourself.
As mentioned in my previous blog, there were many small temples on top of the Sarangkot Village nearby the wash tower, where I was standing a few minutes ago. These temples really were looking so beautiful after the sunrise that it felt like I could stay there forever, but as I was running short of time, I had to run back to the parking.
These are some of the photographs that are going to be with me forever. I am planning to print them physically as they mean a lot to me. Let me tell you another thing that all these photographs that you can see are not at all paying just to the real experience that I was having at that time. Still, I am trying to showcase to you guys. The real experience that I was having with my words, and I hope that I am successful in that.
As I already told you that they were people from all around the world up there, so I came across this group from Singapore, who was capturing a photograph right in front of the sun that you can see in the photograph below. Just by looking at them, I wished that if I could have bought my grandparents up here to witness this beautiful sunrise!!!
Getting back to Pokhara city from Sarangkot-
I was already late and I had to get back to the parking just in about 10 to 15 minutes as the time of departure was really close. Realising that I was almost running down from the top of the hill towards the Parking that was about a kilometre away.
On my way back, I tried to capture some photographs, but most of the time I was running superfast. I was so happy that every part of me was full of joy, and I wanted to share this experience with my grandparents as soon as I get back to my hotel room.
At first, I was walking through the road that would lead me to the parking lot in about 15 to 20 minutes, but I was running short of time so I decided to take a shortcut that was a trail that led straight to the parking lot without turning a lot in the main road.
In the below photograph, you can see a couple of pictures that are captured while getting down from that trail as I was running very fast, so I didn’t take risk of taking out my phone more often, and I only took these two photographs for you guys to refer to.
I didn’t take any photograph at the Parking because I reached just in time, and everyone was waiting for me only. If I would have been a couple of minutes late, they could have been left me behind. !!!
But luckily, I was able to make it in time, so in 20 to 25 minutes, we got back to the main city. I was so happy and I considered this one of the best mornings I ever spent in my life. I was impatient to share this experience with my grandparents and show them the pictures that I took.
As soon as I reached my hotel room, I showed my grandparents all the photographs and videos that I took, and they were really happy that I got to see such a beautiful sunrise and they were also happy to see the videos as they couldn’t come there physically.
We had many other things planned for the day, so we now got to the restaurant to have breakfast and got ready for the day.
So that was my experience of the best sunrise that I experience in my life. That’s it for today.
Thanks for passing by.
Peace ☮️
