If you come to visit Portugal one day, you will see that in my country we have many boats. In all cities next to the river it is very normal to have a port for boats and you will see that we have boats in many ways, such as old and modern.
In the city of Porto, which is the city where I live, you can find quite old and very traditional boats "rebelo" that used to transport the famous Port wine. If you want you can take a walk in these landmarks, for that the ideal is to inform yourself on the riverside of Porto the value and hours.
These boats are typical of the city of Aveiro, which I usually call our Amsterdam, as it has several canals around the city. These boats are called moliceiro boats and you can also ride these boats with a completely different view of the city of Aveiro.
On the river Douro in the city of Porto or in Régua you can take a walk called the 4 bridges in which you can enjoy the mountains and the places where Port wine is produced.
Near the freixo bridge, more precisely in the freixo marina, you can also find several types of boats.
In many Portuguese lagoons you will also find these boats in which you have to cycle to ride a boat. I love to ride these boats with my wife.
This marina is in Ponta delgada on the island of the Azores, where of course it also has a marina. Here you can also find an old Portuguese warship.
