Hello Hive Community.
I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is based on the Statue of Unity. The Statue of Unity is one of the tallest statues in the world. This statue is a proud symbol of India. This statue is dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played a very important role in uniting the country after independence. Due to his efforts, Sardar Saheb is also known as the "Iron Man of India". In today's post, I will talk to you in detail about the Statue of Unity, including how to reach here. I will give detailed information about how many tickets are there for entry and how to reach this place. The Statue of Unity is located in Kevadia in the state of Gujarat. It is about 94 kilometers from Vadodara and around 215 kilometers from Ahmedabad.
As seen in the first photograph above, a huge statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel can be seen in the Statue of Unity. This statue is 182 meters high. This height of the statue makes it the tallest statue in the world. This statue is made of bronze and in it Sardar Patel is in a walking posture. In which Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is looking strong and determined. This statue has been built on the Narmada river near the Sardar Sarovar Dam. The area around this river is full of natural beauty. Which includes hills, greenery and water. Which makes this place more attractive for visitors.
In the first photograph above, I have shown you the ticket to enter the campus of the Statue of Unity. While in the second photograph, the huge statue can be seen. The ticket for adults to enter the campus of the Statue of Unity is 150 rupees. While the price of this ticket for children aged 3 to 15 years is 90 rupees. And there is no charge for children younger than 3 years. In the second photograph above, there is a garden in front of this huge statue. Which is the main center of attraction for visitors.
Entering the campus of the Statue of Unity, an informative display board is shown in 2 photographs. This informative display board provides information about the Statue of Unity. While in the second photograph, a beautiful chain-like work has been made from a white stone. This stone work is also known as the symbol of unity. The board seen in the first photograph presents details about the sculpture named "Unity". Which reflects the theme of unity and strength. This board is surrounded by lush greenery, well-maintained hedges and clean paths. Which makes this place peaceful and pleasant for visitors. This board explains that this sculpture was made during the Ekta Sculpture Symposium organized at Ekta Nagar from 20 July to 8 August 2024. This shows that this place is not only famous for the huge statue but also for promoting art and culture.
The three photographs presented here show the grandeur of the Statue of Unity. The Statue of Unity is not just a statue but a complete tourist destination. There is a museum inside the statue on which I will make a post in the coming time. This museum narrates the life story of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his contribution to the nation. There is also a viewing gallery inside the statue at a height of about 153 meters. From this viewing gallery, visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of the dam, river and the nearby landscape. There is a lift from inside the statue to reach this viewing gallery. If you want to visit this viewing gallery, you have to buy a separate ticket for it. We did not visit this viewing gallery due to lack of time.
In the first photograph taken above, a serene and picturesque view of the vast river landscape near the Sardar Sarovar Dam can be seen. The most striking feature of this photograph is that there is a long bridge beautifully spread over the water. This bridge stands on tall strong pillars emerging from the river. These strong pillars give this bridge a strong and balanced look. This bridge connects both the sides of the land. Which symbolizes its movement, connection and development. The river that is visible here is the Narmada river. The Narmada river is also known as the lifeline of Gujarat. On the banks of this river, small pieces of land and rocks can be seen emerging from the water. Which adds texture to the scene. The gentle flow of the river creates a sense of peace and natural beauty.
The three photographs above show a lively and beautiful scene of the river bank near the Statue of Unity. This scene shows a perfect blend of nature, modern design and human activities. The place looks well developed and organized. Due to which many visitors are attracted to this place. Who come here to enjoy the view and spend time with their families. On the left side of the photograph, a long and wide path with a white tent-like roof structure can be seen. This covered path provides shade and comfort to the visitors walking down. Many people are seen walking on this path. Some are taking photos. While others are just enjoying the pleasant surroundings. The crowd seen in these photographs clearly shows that this is a popular tourist spot. If you look closely at this photograph, in the background, the huge structure of the Sardar Sarovar Dam stands proudly amidst the lush green hills. From here, the dam looks strong and impressive. Which shows the power of engineering and its importance in water management and electricity generation. The hills surrounding the dam are covered with greenery. Which makes the entire landscape fresh and natural.
In the above three photographs, the huge statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai can be seen up close. Looking at these photographs closely, even the people standing near the toes of his statue look small. As I have told you earlier, this statue is 182 meters high. This height makes this statue the tallest statue in the world. In this statue, Sardar Patel is shown walking confidently wearing a traditional dhoti and shawl. It would not be wrong to say that the construction of this statue is an excellent example of modern engineering and design. This statue has been built to withstand strong winds, earthquakes and changing weather conditions. As I have told you earlier, there are two lifts inside this statue. Which take the visitors to the viewing gallery located at a height of about 153 meters. From this gallery, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the river, dam and surrounding hills.
In the above photographs, a beautiful view of the mountain range standing on the banks of the Narmada River can be seen. The sky is cloudy in the background of these mountains. Soft clouds are spread over these mountains. It seems that these white clouds are trying to touch the tops of the green mountains. These clouds create a cool and slightly foggy atmosphere. Due to which the entire scene looks calm and refreshing. As we look further away, more hills can be seen fading into the horizon. Which adds depth to this photograph. The river, hills and sky seen in this photograph create a peaceful atmosphere.
I believe that the Statue of Unity is a magnificent monument that represents the strength and unity of India. The Statue of Unity is not only an important historical site but also a beautiful tourist destination. Visiting this place gives us an opportunity to learn about the life of Sardar Patel and enjoy the beauty of nature. This place also gives us a lesson. It tells us that unity is very important in life.
In each of the photographs presented above, a perfect blend of natural beauty and human engineering can be seen. The river, hills and sky create a peaceful atmosphere.
