No one, just the sky and you and your vibe all along! Thats what we felt at the most remote village of the Himalayas Darcha. Where the place was motor able only for few months!
As quite as it seems
As lonely as it seems
No wonder how and where
Were we going.
Going so and so far away
Just like a cloud in the heavenly sky!
Wondering through the roads of Lahul Spiti... That brought us here!
Here so far, so and so far away from where we started our journey. It was around 11AM in the morning since when we started our journey from Manali Himachal Pradesh and our plan was to reach Baralacha La pass..
A mountain pass and cross over to the Last Himalayan mountain range The Zanskar Range.
Though we were ahead of our time and reached the last village of Lahul which is known as Darcha Dagam.
A village quite isolated that even I would have never thought of would exist, not even in a real life but it did! Just imagine a place that would change colours every season every few days!
In winters it would be covered a thick blanket of snow and at extreme cold night at the time of full moon the whole place used to turn blue like a icy frozen paradise as the locals of Darcha Says!
As the seasons change the whites turn into greens forming the beginning of Spring and then the summers with lovely colourful flowers all around the place. As the place was as a great hight, Higher altitude more than 20,000 feet above the sea level and above the non tropical zone so the whole vegetation had a different pattern.
As even seen in the picture the trees were of Sharu which used to withstand extreme harsh climatic conditions and that was all that used to grow at this place except few of the vegetable in the summer season.
Still it was the summers at this place the glaciers were still melting and the water flowing through the minute streams seemed like flowing of a Champagne!
The longest bridge of Lahul.
Just wonder for a while that how would it even be possilbe to corss cuch a wide river of a glaciel deposite! But the Darcha Dagam Bridge made it possible and connected the two different woulds of Lahul to the Leh region!
The bridge nearly the size of five fully sized bridge standing still all together at such a harsh climatic condition place.
Just right in front was the moat isolated and peaceful and the challaning village of Lahul. Even the main road or the pathway to the village was a different one than of the main road over which we were covering our journey.
The mysterious Rocks
While exploring the places closer to Darcha there was a thing that I noticed that there was a pile of rocks or the stones nearly size of more than a house and few of the ones of the size of a tiny house! It just made me wonder that form where did all of this came from and the mysterious thing was that each and every single piece of rock seemed like of a shape and broken into pieces.
As there are various mysterious related to thing region related to the gateway to the Himalayas etc! So I'll try asking a local if whenever I get an opportunity to and would love ot share it with you guys.
So thats all for today guys. I hope you liked it.
Thanks for your precious time. 🙏
Love from the Himalayas. ❤️
