Hi #hive friends.
Today I'm here ,to share one of my traveling experience and some snaps I have taken. I believe this may help some of the travellers who wish to visit there. And I suggest if you got a chance to visit #kerala, you should come here. "You will never regret".
VYPIN.
Vypin is a island located in Ernakulam district of Kerala, India.I visited Vypin to fulfil two of my needs. The prime one was to meet my collegemate and the second one was to explore the the inner beauty of vypin. And it was very easy with the help of my native friend. I was not alone, I had 2 more travel companions. Vypin is well known for it backwaters, seafoods and mostly the beauty. This island consist of 18 villages. And we were in the village named "Nedungad".Natives in these villages depends mainly on fishing as a source of income.
(This is called 'chinavala' the main tool used to catch fishes. And these are manually operated by ropes.)
We reached vypin by evening and we setup a small sail to the backwaters on his boat(my native friend owns two boats and one was under maintenance).I was little bit nervous to enter in the boat, because I was never been in a boat. But it wall really fun.
(This is a small channel which connects backwaters to the houses. We can't enter backwaters directly.)
We might think sailing in a small boat is quite easy, but it was worse than I think. It is hard to control the boat to the direction we chose. We need to take consideration of wind and waves. The boat is also attached with a small motor which helps to change the direction. But we choose not to use it, and sailed using bats.
HOW TO REACH VYPIN
Kochi is a main town in Kerala. And located closely to Vypin. We can reach here from Kochi either by road or boat.(There is frequent service of boats to the island). If we choose the road it may take almost 45 minutes(17.3 miles). We reached there through road.
This is the first ever travel blog I have done. Thank you for spending time on it.
