Fuimos a Cartagena de Indias.
Un viajecito de unos 4 días, y la verdad creo que era uno de mis sueños conocer este lugar. Antes de irme de este bello país y de estos paisajes tan especiales, sentía que debía visitar esta ciudad llena de historia. Y aquí estamos… conociendo, caminando y disfrutando cada rincón.
Hoy visitamos el imponente Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, uno de los lugares más emblemáticos de la ciudad. Esta fortaleza fue construida por los españoles en el siglo XVII para proteger a Cartagena de los ataques de piratas y enemigos.
Desde aquí defendían la ciudad gracias a sus murallas, túneles secretos y su ubicación estratégica sobre una colina, lo que permitía ver todo alrededor.
El castillo abre normalmente desde las 8:00 a.m. a 5:00 p.m.. La entrada tiene un costo aproximado que cambia según el visitante:
Colombianos: alrededor de $33.000 COP
Extranjeros: cerca de $38.000 COP esto es lo publicado en la taquilla .
El recorrido es bastante largo y hay mucho por descubrir, así que es muy importante llevar agua, usar zapatos cómodos y tomarse el tiempo de recorrer cada rincón. Entre murallas, miradores y túneles antiguos, uno realmente se sorprende con la historia que guarda este lugar.
Además, es un sitio perfecto para fotografías. Al final de la tarde, cuando el sol empieza a ponerse, la luz cae sobre las murallas del castillo y crea un ambiente increíble para capturar momentos únicos.
Definitivamente es un lugar que vale mucho la pena conocer.

We went to Cartagena de Indias.
A short trip of about four days, and honestly, I think it had always been one of my dreams to visit this place. Before leaving this beautiful country and its very special landscapes, I felt that I had to visit this city full of history. And here we are… exploring, walking, and enjoying every corner.
Today we visited the impressive Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, one of the most iconic places in the city. This fortress was built by the Spanish in the 17th century to protect Cartagena from attacks by pirates and enemies. From here, they defended the city thanks to its walls, secret tunnels, and its strategic location on a hill, which allowed them to see everything around.
The castle is normally open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The entrance fee has an approximate cost that varies depending on the visitor:
Colombians: around $33,000 COP
Foreigners: about $38,000 COP (this is what is posted at the ticket office).
The tour is quite long and there is a lot to discover, so it is very important to bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and take your time exploring every corner. Among the walls, viewpoints, and ancient tunnels, you truly get amazed by the history that this place holds.
It is also a perfect place for photographs. At the end of the afternoon, when the sun begins to set, the light falls on the castle walls and creates an incredible atmosphere to capture unique moments.
It is definitely a place that is well worth visiting.
