This week, I visited an indoor miniature golf place with my family in Medina, Ohio-about a half hour from Cleveland or Akron, called "Alien Vacation Mini Golf."
they have lots of wild decorations and even some movie set props.
"Danger, Will Robinson!"
From the get-go, you are inundated with the fascinating extra terrestrial themes throughout.
Will you survive the alien invasion?
I would say it's fun for adults and children alike, but if you have any real life alien abduction experience, it might trigger unpleasant memories!
Each hole/Room has a different theme with painted walls, obstacles and objects.
"Step right up, meet a real life alien with every hole in one!"
The colors really pop under the intense blacklight... they even give you "3d" glasses that make everything jump out even more- even though this doesn't really help ones ability to shoot accurately...
The Mayan Temple room, complete with talking stone statue, really gets things going and prepares one for the adventures that are to come.
The ice room is a beautiful blue, yet still a moderate 70 degrees.
Do the aliens walk among us?
Is Santa's sleigh powered with alien technology? Or is he perhaps other-worldly?...are they trying to tell us something here?
The prehistoric room was cool with it's moving Tyranosaurus Rex!
The jungle is lined with colorful flora and fauna-just like the real deal. Maybe just more blacklight.
sorry for the blurry pic, but the mirror/ spaceship hallway room was pretty cool.
I think this might be a living being spaceship.
Now, you made it 9 holes, so it's time for a drink, perhaps an alien brew or space soda?
The bar room is very spacious and decorated with other worldly textures.
Santa is spotted again, confirming my suspicion that he is indeed pals with the aliens! I guess he needs to chill hard after a busy work season.
Alas, it was just a human tending bar, and no "wild west" cantina vibes here...everyone was well behaved with no limbs lost here
next comes the underwater ocean themed room, complete with giant crab, shark and octopus!
Jacques Cousteau meets NASA...or something.
The Egyptian sarcophagus room had some serious Indiana Jones/mummy/Steve Martin vibes.
back to another alien planet...
i spotted Santa again!
now its time we meet the "mother,"i hope we make it out alive!
This was definitely the coolest indoor miniature golf that i have been to....but i can't really think of playing indoor mini golf but maybe one other time- it's definitely an outdoor sport, but I would recommend this place or a similar place if you are given the opportunity.
I would guess this is "above average" for an indoor minigolf as far as elaborate designs for the holes... I thought this was a rather large building and a great use of the space...They own some type of Santa museum on the other side of the building, so I think that's what the deal is with all the Santa stuff, in case you were wondering!
Thanks for reading, I hope you liked my post!
