I've been locked up in my home for about half a year now, as most of us, hindered to do the thing I want to do the most in life: travel.
Automatically my mind starts to wander to "better times" and one of my recent trips in 2017 to the past Capitol of West Germany, the magnificent Bonn. This city is most known for being the birthplace of world renowned composer Ludwig van Beethoven.
Here's a statue of Beethoven in MΓΌnster Platz in Bonn.
I was mainly there for a blockchain hackathon related to the climate conference that was being held there and even got to visit said conference. But more on that in the next part.
Bonn is also known for the Rhine River which is on of the major European rivers and truly a sight to see! It is the second-longest river in Central and Western Europe (after the Danube), at about 1,230 km.
And lucky me got to stay in a cruise ship parked right at the shore of it!
If you want to go to Germany but don't like the big city hustle that giants like Frankfurt and Berlin have to offer and you would rather have a peaceful town-like vibe with friendly people and great food and culture, then Bonn is the place to be!
