Hello there!
Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe and the latest one being New Zealand, it's time to fly over to Australia!
Australia is a country that I have been to twice in my life. The first time was to Sydney in 2009, and the second time was to Melbourne in 2011. And I realised that's 14 years since I was last there! Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!
Here are the posts so far:

During my trip to Melbourne, I also took the opportunity to visit St Kilda, which is an area not so far from the city centre of the Melbourne. Even though I was quite young at that time, I managed to figure out my way to get there via public transport. There were many attractions to see and experience in St Kilda, and one of them is the St Kilda Botanical Gardens. As a young guy back then who is eager to explore the world, and on a tighter budget, this was a great place because I could enter for free. So here's the signboard at the entrance!
The gate actually resembled the one back in my country (Singapore) to some extent, but I guess it's probably the design back in the old days.
Surprisingly, there were not much people maybe because I was too early.
There were like greenhouses and observatories amidst the rows of trees and plants too.
Of course, the highlight was the lake, which gave the peaceful vibes within this whole nature setting.
There were sitting spaces too, and they have thoughtfully included some chess board markings on the table.
Being a botanical gardens, there were no shortage of tall trees, colourful flowers, and beautifully maintained surroundings.
There were also different sections within the botanical gardens, such as this one, which was a garden with roses I think. Flower lovers would like this.
And before I left to explore other parts of St Kilda, here's a shot facing the sky, together with the different shapes of the leaves and branches from the neighbouring trees.
For someone who lives in the city, where things move at a lightning pace, and everywhere is bustling with activities, I especially enjoy quiet and peaceful moments like these, where I can just listen to the nature sounds, breathe in fresh air, and soak the vibes that nature has to offer. There's something about nature that is so therapeutic that calms my soul and I always feel better mentally after these walks. Do you experience something similar too?
And that's all I have today! Have you been to St Kilda or Australia? Let me know in the comments below!
Finally, thanks for reading my post in the community under World Map Pin!
