Waking up in the same setting and the same routine every single day will burn you out.
Yes! You read it right! I know what you feel right now, maybe yesterday or the other day 😁.
For once You want to get rid of traffic, paperwork, and all the stuff that stressing you out.
Do you feel the same way as I did? If so you can continue reading this 😊.
Yes! That's what I feel one morning.
I want to refresh and revive my connection with nature.
I want to relive the moment where every time I feel like I am a mess, I rely on what nature has given to me to feel that everything is evergreen.
I woke up wanting to escape from reality that life somehow, sometimes sucks that even when we did our best to make it productively with glee it all ends up with such an epic failure that causes us to feel more stress.
What did I do?
I make time for myself and unwind.
As I traveled, I am with my favorite partner in crime. The one who brings me to the destination where we are headed to.
It was the night before they planned to visit their cabin and take some time to relax there. So I asked to go with them.
The next day, I woke up. Getting myself ready for the day. It's still 5:00 am, when I woke up excited for another brand new day to remember, realizing that the person I am to be with is still in deep sleep🤣.
Of course, you're having your day off of what you used to do, so I woke up early and excited.
I took a shower, eat my breakfast, and prepare myself.
Exactly 6:00 am, we started our way to get there, (the cabin).
Riding a motorcycle will always give you a chance to see perfect eye views.
While we are still on the road, I've seen this usual mountain view that first catches my attention.
When you're target destination is South Cebu you'll see a lot of mountains, green grassy mountains to be exact. It is perfectly preserved by nature after the havoc of typhoon Odette.
As we travel along the road I realized that "pain may give you so much in your life but once you heal, you'll be able to see that the pain is perfectly crafted to make yourself strong, that is why you created a beautiful masterpiece in your life."
Carpet of Grass.
When we travel what we often see are roads, trucks, houses, and subdivisions. Trees and mountains are less visible.
But most likely, when we travel South using the alternative road in Manipis, you can see a lot of carpeted grass in the mountains. The almost perfectly crated slope of the mountain where a group of trees and shrubs grows.
I am happy to see this view because it is one of the untouched mountains. Untouched by some developers who build and develop mountains into subs.
Seeing this view reminded me that life is always either perfect and vulnerable or messy but beautiful.
Trees, shrubs, ferns, and weeds are growing everywhere creating an almost perfect view but when we are about to get closer to this, we'll understand that it all is a mess. We don't know where to start and where to go because everything is covered with forest trees and weeds.
I just hope it will always remain that way. No buildings at the top of the mountain, no houses. It'll stay just like that, only forest and mountains nurtured by nature sun and rain.
Man-Made forest
Why is it called a man-made forest?
A Man-made forest has become one of the popular destinations for many adventure seekers and environmentalists.
This man-made forest stands for over 100 years. It is one of the oldest reforestation projects made in the Philippines aside from the known man-made forest in Bohol.
It is a 2,710 hectare that is filled with trees like mahogany, teak, pine, and kamagong.
All the mentioned trees are largely growing at the side of the road paving like an arch entrance when you enter.
Upon entering the man-made forest, you'll feel the cool breeze of wind soothing your body. This is mainly because all you see is the trees and it creates an air-cool breeze. Even the warm or cool-blooded person would love to live here. Though it is not as perfect as what you'll expect or pictured out, yet you can really feel the essence of trees here.
Manipis Falls
Moving forward on our way to our destination you can also see manipis falls.
Nature never fails to amaze me with how it was placed and created. On a long and narrow road, you can see river flow that passes through the rock at the side of the road.
But what really amazes me is the falls made at the center center of the mountain where you can see a small flow of water coming out.
To the cabin, we go!
We are now in Pinamungajan
After making stops just to capture those scenic views by nature we are now here in our planned destination.
We are now away from the buzz of the busy city where all we hear are the buzz of the buses, the noise of the horns for having long traffic, and the populated air by the smoke of the vehicles.
Away from the city, we are now in a place where you can only see a few houses. It is no longer the buzz of the buses that you will hear but the barks of the dogs, the chirping of the birds, and the sound of the crickets.
It is a quiet place, where you can find peace. A place where you can forget all your worries. No phones, no calls, it's just you and nature.
Far from what we call life in a busy buzzing city or place where all we think about is work and how to survive. We need to find a place where at the end of the day we will be amazed by how nature works and heals our inner-self to help us breathe from all the stress we've been carrying all week or day.
That's how I find peace in me :) Thank you for your time reading and sharing my story. I hope you'll find your safe haven too, where you can breathe, be at peace, and relax :) Until my next blog! :)
Enjoy the rest of your day :) Ciao <3
