Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️
In this post I will share my experience and success in capturing the moments of my journey from Bireuen city to Takengon city, honestly this is a trip that I really dream of. After the big flood hit Aceh about four months ago, there are many areas affected, one of which was Takengon city. I heard that there were many areas in Takengon city that were badly damaged by floods and landslides, I heard it and now I also wanted to see it directly and make sure whether the news was true or false
When we arrived at Cot Panglima, my partner and I decided to take a short break, this is a hilly area which is one of the rest areas on the Bireuen-Takengon road.
On the side of the road there are very high cliffs, and also food stalls lined up neatly, this area is very popular with many people because here we can not only rest but we can also see beautiful natural views.
In the area behind the hut we can see a very beautiful natural view that is under the hills, it looks like a green natural ocean. It is a forest that is still filled with lush trees, and it looks like the forest is still very healthy.
After resting enough at the Cot Panglima rest area, we immediately decided to continue our journey. At that time, the road conditions still looked normal and I had not seen any significant damage. However, after traveling for about 45 minutes, I finally arrived at the Wihni Kulus tourist destination area.
Wihni kulus is one of the most popular natural tourist destinations in Bener Meriah regency, here we can see natural scenery in the form of lush trees, rocky rivers with very clear and cool water, but look now, the area has been flattened by floods and all that remains are rocks of various sizes.
Where are the lush trees.? Where are the beautiful cottages.?where are the ornamental plants and colorful flowers.?
Seeing the condition of the Wihni Kulus tourist destination makes me very sad, this is proof of how devastating natural disasters are.
The river which used to be small has now become very large, much of the land has been eroded by floods and even submerged many houses.
What I am really worried about is the condition of the main road which is right on the edge of the cliff, the distance between the road and the cliff is only about 1 meter, and that has a huge impact.
Up to here I can see and feel that the route to Takengon is now increasingly extreme and frightening, just arriving at the Wihni Kulus tourist area already makes me scared, while the journey to the city of Takengon is still very far.According to the information I got from the officers there, there will be many obstacles and barriers to get to Takengon and some are even very extreme, but curiosity is what strengthens my determination to continue this journey.
The beauty of natural scenery is indeed unmatched, but nature can also turn violent in an instant, I have witnessed how terrible the flood was that had devastated the land of Aceh Tamiang before my eyes, but it turns out that my brothers and sisters in different areas(in Aceh)also felt the same thing.
