Today is November 11. Mirror date, readable on both sides equally. Many people believe in various omens for this day. They make wishes and believe that they will certainly come true!
And on this day, Poland celebrated the 106th anniversary of its independence. Poles love this day very much and celebrate it. I watched Polish television online and saw how this holiday was celebrated in different parts of the country. In Warsaw, the President of Poland and the top leadership of the state laid flowers at the grave of the unknown soldier. It was touching to hear words of support for the Ukrainian people and Ukraine from the mouth of Polish President Andrzej Duda! In the evening, a procession of thousands of people with a long flag passed through the center of the capital. A grand concert in honor of Poland's Independence Day was held in Wroclaw, where famous artists performed.
Also on this day, November 11, St. Martin's Day is celebrated in Europe, and in particular in Italy. I am lucky to live in Scorca, which is part of Rio di San Martino. As you have already understood, the small village bears the name of St. Martin. And on this day, November 11, festivities, a holiday, are held in this village. I visited Rio de San Martino on Saturday. I was not at the holiday itself as I was working that day. But I felt the pre-holiday atmosphere. In front of St. Martin's Church, there is a children's playground with slides, carousels and other popular entertainment for children. Nearby, on a green field, people were creating a model of an old village yard.There I also saw an old house, various agricultural machines and mechanisms that helped the peasants in their hard work. I walked among these exhibits that had not yet taken their place and looked around. I was interested in guessing what this or that car was intended for. I saw a mechanical machine that could clean corn cobs from seeds, a press that pressed grapes, an old chopper, a well where water was collected and many other interesting things.
In the small central square there is a magnificent fountain in the form of a radicchio. After all, this zone is the place where this type of lettuce is grown. Local residents are very proud of that. After all, radicchio Treviziano is famous throughout Italy. Next to the fountain, there is an armored monument with carved pictures from the life of the peasants. I can imagine this fountain in the evening when the lights are turned on! Unbelievable beauty!
On the left is a huge house with the inscription Scattolin. This is the furniture store of my ward Milena's twin sister. She talked a lot about her sister and that she and her husband have a shop. That's what I saw myself.
And I also want to say about the weather. There is a sign that the weather in San Martino will be like this in winter. And that the cold starts from San Martino. And so it happened. The cold cyclone brought cold Arctic air, snow fell in the mountains and it got very cold. That's what San Martino is like!

Сьогодні 11 листопада. Дзеркальна дата, що читається з обох сторін одинаково. Багато людей вірять в різні прикмети на цей день. Загадують бажання і вірять, що вони неодмінно здійсняться!
А ще цього дня Польща відзначила 106 річницю своєї незалежності. Поляки дуже люблять цей день і святкують його. Я дивилася онлайн телебачення Польщі і бачила як святкували це свято в різних кутках країни. У Варшаві президент Польщі та вище керівництво держави поклали квіти до могили невідомого вояка. Було зворушливо чути слова підтримки українському народу та Україні з уст президента Польщі Анджея Дуди! Ввечері багатотисячна хода з довжелезним прапором пройшла центром столиці. У Вроцлаві відбувся грандіозний концерт на честь дня незалежності Польщі, де виступили відомі артисти.
Також цього дня 11 листопада в Європі, і зокрема в Італії відзначається свято Святого Мартіна. Мені пощастило жити в Скорце, частиною якого являється Ріо ді Сан Мартіно. Як ви вже зрозуміли, що невеличке село носить імя Святого Мартіна. І цього дня 11 листопада в цьому селі проходять фестини, празник. Я відвідала Ріо ді Сан Мартіно в суботу. На самому святі я не була так як працювала в той день. Але передсвяткову атмосферу відчула. Перед церквою Святого Мартіна розташувався дитячий ігроленд, з гірками, каруселями та іншими популярними у дітей розвагами. Поруч, на зеленому майданчику люди створювали макет старого сільського подвір'я. Там я побачила і стару хату, різні сільськогосподарські машини та механізми, які допомагали селянам в їхній важкій роботі. Я ходила поміж цих експонатів, які ще не зайняли свого місця і роздивлялася. Мені було цікаво вгадати для чого була призначега ця чи інша машина. Я побачила механічну машину, що могла чистити від насіння качани кукурудзи, прес, що давив виноград, стару січкарню, колодязь, де набирали воду і ще багато чого цікавого.
На невеликій центральній площі стоїть чудовий фонтан у вигляді радіккіо. Адже ця зона є місцем, де вирощується цей вид салату. Місцеві жителі дуже горді з того. Адже радіккіо тревізіано славиться на всю Італію. Поряд з фонтаном поставлений иармуровий монумент, де висічені картини з побуту селян. Уявляю цей фонтан ввечері, коли включається підсвітка! Краса неймовірна!
Зліва розташований величезний будинок з написом Scattolin. Це мебельний магазин сестри близнючки моєї підопічної Мілени. Вона багато розповідала про сестру та що вона з чоловіком мають магазин. Ото вже я й побачила сама.
І ще хочу сказати про погоду. Існує прикмета, яка погода на Сан Мартіно така й зима буде. І що від Сан Мартіно починаються холоди. І так воно сталося. Холодний циклон приніс холодне арктичне повітря, в горах випав сніг і сильно похолодало. От такий він Сан Мартіно!
