Hello everyone!
The Old Town Square in Prague is on the first place on the list of places to visit for almost all tourists coming to the Czech capital. Together with my colleagues, we also started exploring the city from this place. For people who like old architecture, a walk around the market square and its surroundings will be a feast for the eyes.

Rynek Staromiejski w Pradze jest na pierwszym miejscu na liście do odwiedzenia dla niemal wszystkich turystów przyjeżdżających do stolicy Czech. Wraz z kolegami również zaczęliśmy zwiedzanie miasta od tego miejsca. Dla ludzi lubiących starą architekturę spacer po rynku i jego okolicach będzie ucztą dla oczu.
Poniżej na zdjęciach znajdziecie to co można zobaczyć chodząc i rozglądając się po rynku.
This historic square in the Old Town of Prague covers an area of over 9,000 m² and is located between Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge.
Ten historyczny plac na Starym Mieście w Pradze zajmuje powierzchnię ponad 9000 m² i znajduje się między placem Wacława a mostem Karola.
The first building that stands out and attracts the eyes of tourists is the Old Town Hall, which dates back to 1338. The tower is about 70 m high and there is an observation deck on it. However, the then price of entry to the top discouraged us from doing so.
Pierwszym budynkiem, który się wyróżnia i przyciąga wzrok turystów jest Ratusz staromiejski, którego początki sięgają 1338 roku. Wieża jest wysoka na ok 70 m i znajduje się na niej taras widokowy. Jednak ówczesna cena wejścia na górę zniechęciła nas do tego.

The Prague Astronomical Clock located on the southern wall of the Old Town Hall is a popular tourist attraction and one of the most famous clocks of this type in the world (the oldest still working). Its first version was built in 1410, then rebuilt in 1490.
Praski zegar astronomiczny znajdujący się na południowej ścianie Ratusza Staromiejskiego jest popularną atrakcją turystyczną oraz jednym z najbardziej znanych tego typu zegarów na świecie (najstarszy nadal działający). Jego pierwsza wersja powstała w 1410 roku, następnie przebudowany w 1490 roku.
Two towers rise above the buildings, 80 meters high, which are part of the Gothic Church of Our Lady before Tyn. Its construction began in the 14th century and ended at the beginning of the 16th century.
Ponad budynkami wyrastają dwie wieże na wysokość 80 metrów, które są częścią gotyckiego Kościoła Najświętszej Marii Panny przed Tynem. Jego budowa rozpoczęła się w XIV wieku i skończyła na początku XVI.
On the left is the Jan Hus Monument and it is visible in several photos posted in this post.
Po lewej stronie znajduje się Pomnik Jana Husa i jest widoczny na kilku zdjęciach zamieszczonych w tym poście.
The Kinski Palace in the rococo style built in 1755-1765. Interestingly, in the years 18993-1901 Franz Kafka attended the palace gymnasium, while in the years 1922-1934 the Polish Legation was located in the palace. Currently (since 1949) it belongs to the National Gallery in Prague.
Pałac Kinskich w tylu rokoko wybudowany w latach 1755-1765. Z ciekawostek w latach 18993-1901 do pałacowego gimnazjum uczęszczał Franz Kafka, natomiast w latach 1922–1934 w pałacu mieściło się Poselstwo RP. Obecnie (od 1949 roku) należy do Galerii Narodowej w Pradze.
The building painted yellow with hanging flags houses the Ministry of Regional Development.
W budynku pomalowanym na żółty kolor ze zwisającymi flagami mieści się Ministerstwo Rozwoju Regionalnego.
The Church of Saint Nicholas was built in the years 1732-1737 in the Baroque style.
Kościół Świętego Mikołaja zbudowany w latach 1732-1737 w stylu barokowym.

Of course, apart from the beautiful architecture, we will also meet a lot of tourists on the market.
I definitely recommend at least one visit to this place.
Oczywiście poza przepiękną architekturą na rynku spotkamy też sporo turystów.
Zdecydowanie polecam przynajmniej jedną wizytę w tym miejscu.
