Hello everyone!
Piazza Vecchia Bergamo Alta is the next stop on our tour of Citta Alta. It is the main square of the Upper Town located in its center. On opposite sides of the square there are two stylistically different palaces. This is a place that is definitely worth visiting.

Piazza Vecchia Bergamo Alta to kolejny przystanek podczas naszego zwiedzania Citta Alta. Jest to główny plac Górnego Miasta leżący w jego centrum. Po przeciwnych stronach placu znajdują się dwa różne stylistycznie pałace. Jest to miejsce, które zdecydowanie warto odwiedzić.
Poniżej zdjęcia zabudowań i informacje, jakie znalazłem na ich temat.
View of the south-eastern part of the square. There are restaurants on the east and west sides, while in the center of the square is the Contarini Fountain.
Widok na południowo-wschodnią część placu. Po wschodniej i zachodniej stronie znajdują się restauracje, natomiast na środku placu jest Fontanna Contarini.
On the other hand, in the northern part of the square, we can admire the building of Palazzo Nuovo, which houses the Angelo Mai library with about 700,000 volumes. Its construction began at the beginning of the 17th century and ended in the middle of the 20th century.
Natomiast w północnej części placu możemy podziwiać budynek Palazzo Nuovo, w którym znajduje się biblioteka Angelo Mai z liczbą około 700 000 woluminów. Jego budowa rozpoczęła się na początku XVII wieku i skończyła w połowie XX wieku.
View of the facades of the buildings on the eastern side. As you can see from the photos, they are all very well maintained and beautifully presented.
Widok na fasady budynków po wschodniej stronie. Jak widać na zdjęciach, wszystkie są bardzo dobrze utrzymane i pięknie się prezentują.
Dome of the Cathedral of Sant'Alessandro Martir in Piazza del Duomo. On top of it stands the statue of St. Alexander. You can see the interior of the cathedral in my previous post: Bergamo Cathedral

Palazzo della Ragione was built in the second half of the 12th century.
Budynek Palazzo della Ragione został zbudowany w drugiej połowie XII wieku.
The Bergamo City Tower also dates back to the 12th century and was built as a residential building.
Wieża Miejska w Bergamo także pochodzi z XII wieku i została zbudowana jako budynek mieszkalny.
Its height is 54 m and it is the tallest tower in the city. It is also a vantage point for the panorama of the city and its surroundings. Please note that it is closed on Mondays when planning your visit.
Jej wysokość to 54 m i jest najwyższą wieżą w mieście. Jest to również punkt widokowy na panoramę miasta i jego okolice. Należy przy planowaniu zwiedzania uwzględnić to iż w poniedziałki jest ona zamknięta.
Go to the next square which is Piazza del Duomo. This will be our next stop.
