Good day, Hivers! It's me, your . For today’s blog, I’m taking you on a quick trip to a not-so-far place called Kapenarra, located in Dakit, Bogo. It’s the perfect spot to unwind. Even though Kapenarra is tucked away in the interior, many people still enjoy visiting and relaxing here not only because of its elegance and specialties but also because of its charming bonsai garden.
This was actually my first time visiting, and the bonsai garden immediately caught my attention. It’s just a few steps away from their dining area, and I’m sure it helps attract customers even more. As a plant lover, I was naturally drawn to it!
What made this visit even more unexpected was that it happened on the same day as my final exam for the first semester. Our school still wasn’t holding face-to-face classes because many buildings were damaged by last September’s earthquake. To make things more stressful, our WiFi broke due to two strong typhoons! I had to go to one of my teachers (who also happens to be our neighbor) to ask if I could connect to his WiFi.
The exam started at 1:00 PM, but in the middle of everything, our Korean family friend suddenly called and invited us to go with them to Kapenarra. My exam was expected to finish at around 6:00 PM, so my father decided to just buy me mobile data. And that’s how I ended up taking my final exam… in Kapenarra! 😂
While we were on our way to Bogo, I continued answering the exam in the car. Good thing I still remembered what we discussed in class, so it wasn’t too difficult.
We arrived at Kapenarra around 4:00 PM, and I was instantly fascinated by the warm and scenic welcome of the bonsai garden. I walked around and explored the place before placing my order. If I had to rate the ambiance and overall experience, I’d give it a 10/10. The place is elegant, the staff are genuinely welcoming, and they know how to take care of customers. The paintings on the walls also add a nice touch. And the best part? It’s very affordable! The menu isn’t expensive, and the servings are satisfying. I’m already planning to come back if I get the chance.
And I guess that’s all for today’s blog! Now it’s your turn to visit Kapenarra and share your experience with me. Feel free to rate the place as well but for me, it’s definitely a 10/10.
Thank you for reading, everyone!
