Hell all you hivers,
Now you’ve all probably heard of shipwrecks but we also dive on plane wrecks also. Yup Aeroplanes.
On this occasion as we have all repeat guests and my neighbours rather than set a schedule I just asked where they would like to go.
Two or maybe three of the divers requested the airplane or airport site as some dive centres call it and the others had no objection as they were just keen to be diving again. So Airplane it was. I can’t call it the Airport as there is only one plane there so for me that makes no sense
We could not have had better weather as the sea was flat calm and almost mirrorlike. These days on the water are very special as it's so idyllic like being in a movie. It sure beats the rough sea green face days that's for sure.
After all buddy checks and briefings the 2 small groups entered the water and navigated there way towards where the plane is located. It's not so deep it lies in approximately 24m of water in a small sandy patch.
A few razor fish along the way. I love these little guys, they are pretty cool always in groups in a face down vertical position.
It is never hard to find Nemo around here
More Nemo
And then the plane. I love diving wrecks and it's always cool getting imagery of them underwater.
I wish we had more of them here in Moalboal but as the wall is usually a sheer drop down to 50m plus and then slopes off even deeper there's no easy place to sink one.
So all we have for that type of thing in this area is the little plane.
Some nice table corals on the journey back
I am really hoping we get more of these days in the future. Was an enjoyable day with happy divers.
