Hello, wonderful friends in this beautiful community. How are you today? How was your valentines day? I hope you are safe and sound after your valentines date with your loved ones, friends, and family.
For today's blog, I will be showing you how I spent my valentines day, who I am with, and where I spent my date - The Unseen Paradise of Camp Paradisio.
February 13, 2023, is a very important date to the family for we will commemorate the 10th death anniversary of my grandfather. Because of that, my family had a short get-together in the house.
On the day of the valentines, my family decided to have a swimming pool break. We think of a pool the kids will love and be excited to see. So, I suggested going to Camp Paradisio. Everyone agreed for it is our first time visiting the place.
To the Beach we go.
Camp Paradisio is a hidden paradise located over a hill next to the mouth of the Pasil River, which connects to the Camotes Sea. It is situated in Barangay Camoboan, one of the mountain barangay in the municipality of Tabogon. It is a newly opened resort last December 2021.
The place has a unique location where mountains, rivers, and sea meet. You can also see an old hanging bridge and concrete footbridge outside the camp for locals to pass by Salag (a nearby barangay). Before reaching the area, you will see this wonderful view.
The seaside view of Tabogon port with planted mangroves nearby.
It's a winding road going to Camp Paradisio so be careful while driving. There are areas with narrow roads.
The Arrival to Camp Paradisio.
The happy face of my family coming into the place for the very first time is immeasurable. Because the weather is not so fine today and it's quite gloomy, there are only a few people who visited the place.
The Concrete Footpath.
Before arriving at the pool area, you will experience walking on these 89 concrete steps. The entrance to the footpath is quite amazing. Colorful bamboo, split into tiny pieces is the decoration at the entrance. There are also growing flowers along the footpath which is so beautiful.
The Top View.
Arriving at the top is fulfilling. You get to see an overlooking view of the place. The sea nearby can all be seen on the top. You can also see can see the Capitancillo Islet, Kalanggaman Islet, Camotes Islands, and the distant mountains of Leyte. There are different amenities found in the topmost area.
The Restaurant Area.
The restaurant in the poolside area serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But unfortunately, room rates are not inclusive of their meals. In the area, there are chairs allocated for the visitors and you can also cook in their kitchen with free utensils.
The Cabanas and Cottages.
There are different sizes of cabanas and cottages available for an overnight stay that can fit you and your whole family. You can rent their cabanas and cottages and bring your families with you to the place.
Room Rates.
Rooms may vary according to the sizes. The place has an overlooking view, so you can see the wonderful place. If you are looking for a place away from the city, well this is for you. There are three open-air huts (Teepee, Chalet, and Kamalig) that can accommodate overnight guests. Each hut has a small patio with outdoor seating. No airconditioned rooms, only fans because the place itself is very cold due to its location.
Teepee huts good for 2 persons start at only 1000Php or 18.12 USD. There are also other huts available for 4 people which cost 1500Php or 27.18 USD. Kamalig huts which are good for 8 people only cost 4000Php or 72.49 USD.
If you are thinking to bring your barkada (tribe), no worries. There are also available huts and cottages for barkada sizes. There are huts good for 12 people which only cost 5000Php or 90.59 USD, and 16 persons which only cost 7500Php or 404.54 USD. (Only tarpaulin and curtains will cover the entrances of the huts and cabanas so just keep your important belongings with you.)
The good thing is no corkage fee is applied in the area. You can bring a lot of food with you during your entire stay.
To the Pool area.
There are two-level pool sites, for kids and adults. For kids is only 2 feet while it is 4.5 feet for adults. You will enjoy your stay here because of the alluring view you can see above. It's an overlooking view of the sea which is very captivating and eye catchy to our eyes.
Kayaking, Paddleboard, and Paddleboat.
Aside from watching the sunrise or sunset at the top, kayaking is also available in the place. Pasil River is located at the foot of Camp Paradisio which is the best for kayak, paddleboard, and paddleboat activities. Kayak will only cost 300Php for 2 hours or 5.44 USD which is very affordable. A wonderful sight you can see below during your kayak tour.
Kawa Hot Bath.
After a tiresome day of different activities, you can also enjoy soothing in Kawa. Kawa bathing cost only 350Php good for 30 mins. or 6.35 USD. If you love to try their KAWA bath, you can ask the receptionist for assistance. They are very much approachable to everyone.
Playing Area.
If you are bringing your kids with you, no worries. A minimal playing area is available on the top of the place. There are swings, slides, and others that you can freely use. With the wide area on the top, you can also play with your kids there. The kids will surely love the place.
