London Eye overview of the city
The London Eye is a famous landmark and tourist attraction located on the South Bank of the River Thames in London, United Kingdom. It is a giant Ferris wheel that offers panoramic views of the city's skyline. The official name of the London Eye is the Coca-Cola London Eye, and it is also commonly referred to as the Millennium Wheel.

The London Eye was originally erected in 1999 to celebrate the new millennium. It stands at a height of 135 meters (443 feet) and was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world when it was first built, although it has since been surpassed by several others. The wheel has a total of 32 enclosed and air-conditioned passenger capsules, each weighing around 10 tons. These capsules are mounted on the outer edge of the wheel and rotate slowly as the wheel moves, allowing visitors to enjoy a 360-degree view of London.
A complete rotation on the London Eye takes approximately 30 minutes, providing ample time for visitors to take in the breathtaking vistas of landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, and the River Thames.
The London Eye has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in London, attracting millions of visitors each year. It offers both daytime and night time experiences, and it has been used for various events and celebrations. Additionally, it has been featured in numerous films, TV shows, and music videos, further enhancing its iconic status in the city's skyline.
But get ready, if you are planning on jumping in, the tickets are not the cheapest and also get ready to wait in a very long line.
The Area around is still worth visiting
Even if you are not planning to ride the London Eye, it is obviously worth to visit and see it, walk by and on top the whole area is very nice.
And obviously this is one of the busiest areas for tourists so you will be able to find a lot of other things to do in the area, or you can just grab a snack and sit in the park while you enjoy the London Life go by.

SEA LIFE London is a popular aquarium located near the London Eye, on the South Bank of the River Thames. It is one of the largest aquariums in Europe and offers an immersive underwater experience for visitors of all ages.
The London Dungeon
The London Dungeon is a popular tourist attraction in London that offers a unique and interactive journey through the dark and gruesome history of the city. It provides a theatrical experience that combines storytelling, live actors, special effects, and sets to recreate historical events and legends.
Shrek's Adventure
Shrek's Adventure! is an interactive and immersive attraction that brings the world of DreamWorks Animation's "Shrek" films to life.
This are some of the attractions that you can find just by the London Eye. Just know that all of the are very expensive and I would say that they are not an essential visit when you are for the first time in London, although they are advertised to the people very strongly.
There are way better places, and even free, to visit. Other than these attractions!
I was considering to share the official websites here with you but for the reasons above I have decided not to. Maybe in a next visit to London. In your first time, these are for sure not a must visit.
By the Thames
You can find the London Eye, all the attractions I have talked about just by the Thames as you can see below. This is a place to visit for sure.
Enjoy the views and enjoy a nice day out in the London Eye area and you won't regret. But remember, this is another of the most famous landmarks in the country, be ready for the area be busy and crowded all year long and at every single time of the day.
If you want to see it and visit the area it will be complicated to escape the crowd.
