We left Bukidnon real early and drove for three whole hours. But when we got to Chali Beach Resort? It was SO worth it! We came from all those cold mountains so when we stepped out and felt that warm salty wind wow it felt great. Our friends kept saying this place is awesome beause you get the beach and a nice pool. They were right!
The people working there were super friendly gave us cold coconut drinks right away. We went to our little house and it was super close to the sand. We took off our shoes fast and ran to the beach the sand was soft and warm. The sea looked calm with small waves coming in slow. We changed our clothes quick because we just had to get in the water..
First we went in the ocean. At first it was a bit cold but after a minute it felt good. There were tiny fish swimming around our feet they tickled so much! My cousin tried to grab one but just splashed everyone. We lay on our backs in the water looking up at the sky and listening to the palm trees move in the wind.
Some of us made a sandcastle with a little water ditch around it… but the water came in and washed it away. Oh well we still had fun! We picked up lots of pretty shells too some were really smooth. After playing in the sea we went to the pool. It was SO cool! It looks like it goes right into the ocean perfect for taking pictures.
The pool water was warm which was nice because the sea was a bit cold after a while. We sat on chairs that are half in the water and drank mango shakes they were so sweet and good. There’s a little covered spot with soft chairs my aunt and uncle sat there talking while me and my friends raced in the pool.
We even jumped in funny ways and made big splashes! We ate lunch at the place near the beach you can see everything because there’s no walls. We had grilled fish (they caught it that morning!) crispy squid and fruit salad. It all tasted so good! After eating some people slept under the palm trees.
I tried but could not sleep because i was too excited. So i went back to the pool and floated on a big plastic noodle just looking at the clouds. When the sun started to go down we went back to the beach. The sky turned orange and pink and purple it was so pretty!
The water looked like it was shining. We went in the sea again just standing there watching the sky get dark. Then the pool lights turned on they were blue and made the water look really nice. We sat on the edge of the pool with our feet in the water pointing at stars.
Even if we did not know their names and saying we need to come back soon. It’s not easy to find a place where you can swim in the sea and a pool that looks like part of the ocean. When we got in the car to go back to Bukidnon we were tired but happy.
Our skin was a bit darker from the sun our hair was salty and we already made plans to come back again. We love this place!
